Knit 1 team member, knitwear designer, and marling expert, Hannah of @_doinglaundry will take you through two different techniques for creating beautiful, cohesive scrappy knits in this two session class.

Some scrap yarn will be provided, but this is the perfect excuse to dig deep into your stash for the beautiful bits, bobs, and half-skeins of yarn that you’ve been holding onto “just in case!”

Learn how to create gorgeous color palettes, blend textures, and combine different yarn weights for visual interest and one-of-a-kind finished projects!

🇮🇪 IRELAND KNITTING TRIP 🧶 - DAY 2

On Day 2 we started out with a nearly 4 hour walking tour and got to experience extreme wind, a bit of rain, and sun! We all had done several outfit changes by the end.

Then we got to explore the Guinness Storehouse which was soooo cool! Honestly I probably won’t be ordering it anytime soon but guys I drank the whole pint!!! 🍺

In the evening we had a knitting circle in the hotel lobby which we claimed every night, and Jessica taught our amazing trip leader Niki how to knit! 🫶🧶

Wait, take me back to Ireland 🥹🍀🐑🧶🧚✨

Tbh, I was super nervous leading up to this trip. @yarn_over_everything and I had been planning on co-hosting this group knitting retreat to Ireland with a total of 16 strangers, and I had no idea what to expect. While this experience sounded absolutely amazing, being an introvert, I was scared of throwing myself out of my comfort zone

But omg, I’m so glad I did 🥲

Not only did I get to travel around a magical country, I got to do so with such beautiful, talented, kind, and funny people who geek out over yarn and sheep as much as I do 🥰

From having our minds blown during a yarn mill tour (for a mill that was established in the 1700s 🤯) to cackling while giving a pony butt pats, yelling “SHEEP” on the bus when we saw them out the window, and all the million little magic moments of connection — I’ll legit never get over how special this trip was to me.

And how cool that some of us got sheep tattoos from @brotherhooddublin to commemorate?!

Thank you to all my friends who joined me on this adventure. I think a reunion is definitely in the books 💗

For the most extroverted introvert you’ll ever meet, I did not run out of spoons this week.

The week I spent in Ireland with 16 amazing people was all the creativity I’d been looking for. To all the inside jokes, vocal stims, talking yarn + patterns and just the 1000s of compliments we gave to one another on each piece we wore. I couldn’t have asked for a better group to be with 💕

Now, there is no pressure, but someone will need to start planning our reunion trip! ✨
