POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What can I say about the direction this play is taking, other than that all venues booked sold out from London to Reading and beyond are a true reflection of the audience’s enthusiasm and support? Each scene is powerful, creating moments of quiet that stir deep emotions while also offering important insight. It highlights a side of our community that is often overlooked.

Welcome to “The Barbershop Uncut Stories.”

Some more reflections on the amazing community spirit that I encountered at the awards ceremony last month in Reading where all the community leaders were.

I found them!

And so many of them picked up awards - it was a fantastic night!

Thank you Reading for welcoming me into your community and for all of your support in helping us to share our work and achieve a sold-out first show THIS Friday and nearly sold-out show the following week.

There are way too many to thank but pictured here is Deano from @golddustradio picking up his award who hasn’t stopped sharing our event! We’re so grateful!

Tyler from @triybe_ who also picked up an award and who has been phenomenal behind the scenes. I met lots more people that night who have also been so supportive.

I was also pleased to meet the Mayor of Reading and so many others, and I’m looking forward to seeing them again at the production.

This is community connections at its best!

Thank you all 💚💚

26 DAYS TO GO — AND READING, YOU’VE BEEN AMAZING! 🎭💙

It was a pleasure to attend the Community Award Ceremony at the Caribbean Heritage Centre in Reading, where so many inspiring individuals and community leaders were honoured for their contribution to the community. 💚

It was wonderful to meet some new faces, reconnect with some familiar ones, including Tyler from @triybe_ who won an award, and share the room with people who are making a real difference across Reading and beyond. Lovely also to meet @juliatitus_official whose vocals can be heard in the background!

The support we have received from the Reading community for Barbershop Uncut Stories has been incredible - thank you to everyone who has booked, shared our posts, spread the word and helped us reach local communities.

Barbershop Uncut Stories creates a space to open up conversations that matter, using theatre and real experiences.

Black men face around twice the risk of developing prostate cancer compared with other men, making awareness, knowing the signs and symptoms, and taking action. especially important.
