“I’m not going until I perform.”

Sandman Slimm made Summer Camp a goal, not a ticket. He wasn’t going as a fan. Then came the Summer Camp On The Road competition, and he walked in as a performer.

“AI art is an oxymoron.” 🎤

Trouble Chasin’ pulled up to EDEN Sessions and did NOT hold back. Art vs commerce. AI as a tool vs AI doing the expressing for you. And why you can straight up hear the soullessness in machine-made music.

“Didn’t we create AI so we could be the ones doing art all day?” …bro. 😭

Full write-up is on the site, link in bio. Full episode lives on YouTube, go subscribe so the next one finds you first. 🔔

Culture vs. private equity. AI artists. Almost hanging it up. @troublechasin217 didn’t hold back.

For the first updated EDEN Sessions, we sat down with Champaign’s own @imsandmanslimm and @chasebaby217 for a conversation about what it actually costs to make music in 2026… and why that $10 you put directly in an artist’s pocket means more than any streaming subscription ever will.

This is just the trailer. The full conversation goes deeper. 👁️

Just as the canopy of a rainforest is the most bio-diverse region on Earth, we have always been committed to bringing that same spirit of diversity to the entertainment we provide for our community.

And for nearly 30 years, this venue has been home to more than just a stage; it’s become a cornerstone of Central Illinois’ Music. As we prepare for our “Last Call,” we want to extend our heartfelt thank you to everyone who has made this journey possible.

We invite everyone to join us this weekend for a two-night, FREE-ENTRY, farewell to The Canopy Club this Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th.

There is a $5-$10 suggested cover at the door and we will be offering a special $25 “All-In” package which includes (1) slice of Manolo’s Pizza and an Open Bar.

But above all—we just want you here with us, as we say goodbye to Central Illinois' Home for Live Music since 1998!! 🌳✨
