POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We both got deep as to what 2022 has done for our personal lives on our own pages, but what we did as a duo this year really needs highlighted. Really, the year for us collectively didn’t begin until the summertime. Between Chase getting settled after leaving his job of 13 years and Dontiel nursing a couple of injuries, we both spent the first half of the year just getting ourselves back in check. Once that happened, we found ourselves in a divine intervention of sorts.

#Aquarigo is the first album we ever made with intention and backstory, but everything else was complete dumb luck, preparation and god. We made 15 songs, and they all made the album. Normally we make at least 25 and cut 10. Then, we got the opportunity of a lifetime to open for @ludacris at the legendary @statefarmcenter & @profgampo at the home team @canopyclub in back to back months (Oct & Nov).

We decided it’d be wise to pull the trigger on finishing/releasing the album and when we tell you EVERYTHING fell into place flawlessly, we mean it. We linked with @DjBelly who ended up being our DJ for these shows, as well as a mentor. @curbservice came in to take over the business end of things so we could focus on stealing the show. We got a cover story in @news_gazette as well as a story done by @sarahlehmantv from @ciliving and local news source @wcia3news which catapulted our exposure. On top of that, the lead single from the album started getting radio play (still in rotation, word to @suava1055 @djbjclark ). We dropped the first music video from the album and did a couple other radio interviews around town. Before we knew it, the album was at 4k streams in the first week and we were on stage in front of 3,000 new fans.

The blessings haven’t stopped and.l neither have we. We may treat y’all with a TC EP by the end of the year. Turns out we just can’t stop creating music, good problem to have.

“I’m not going until I perform.”

Sandman Slimm made Summer Camp a goal, not a ticket. He wasn’t going as a fan. Then came the Summer Camp On The Road competition, and he walked in as a performer.

“AI art is an oxymoron.” 🎤

Trouble Chasin’ pulled up to EDEN Sessions and did NOT hold back. Art vs commerce. AI as a tool vs AI doing the expressing for you. And why you can straight up hear the soullessness in machine-made music.

“Didn’t we create AI so we could be the ones doing art all day?” …bro. 😭

Culture vs. private equity. AI artists. Almost hanging it up. @troublechasin217 didn’t hold back.

For the first updated EDEN Sessions, we sat down with Champaign’s own @imsandmanslimm and @chasebaby217 for a conversation about what it actually costs to make music in 2026… and why that $10 you put directly in an artist’s pocket means more than any streaming subscription ever will.

This is just the trailer. The full conversation goes deeper. 👁️
