“Overwhelmed by the evil forces of apathy and ennui, a struggling cartoonist is visited by his first (and greatest) creation: The Phenomenal Pizza Man.”

The plan was always to make a PIZZA MAN movie. I created the character as a grade-schooler, plotting out his adventures in vibrant, pencil-drawn comic book form. When it came time to make my cumulative short film as an NYU student (and amid the mounting trials/tribulations of young adulthood), I could think of no better way to re-assert my passion and joy for the craft than revisiting the character in a thoughtful tale which mirrors my journey as a filmmaker and a person.

But beyond the sheer catharsis PIZZA MAN provided me in seeing it come to life, the production pushed me beyond what I thought were my limits. I waded into uncharted territory almost every step of the way, shedding my comfort zone and taking genuine risks. Now that it’s all said and done, I believe those choices paid off. I have the utmost gratitude for my incredible team of collaborators for making that possible, from those I’ve worked with for years to first-time connections. I sincerely hope to work with everyone again!

The film has already screened at three festivals so far, and I’m excited to announce it’ll make its last stop at the San Diego Comic Con Film Festival. More information about specific dates soon! 😌

Some designs start with performance. This one started with a promise.

The EQLZ®247_NXT x Nate Robinson shoebox features children’s drawings from @seattlechildrens Seattle Children’s Hospital patients. In collaboration with Nate Robinson, EQLZ® is proud to introduce a special edition designed for the world‘s next-generation hoopers.

Each stroke of color, each spark of imagination on the shoebox comes from dialysis patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital — kids who know what it means to fight, to hope, and to dream beyond the expected.

This is more than a shoebox. It‘s a canvas of courage. A million thanks to these young artists. Their creativity is not typical. Their journey is not typical.

And this release is: NOT A TYPICAL EXPECTATION.

Because inspiration doesn’t always come from the court, but from symbols of resilience, hope, and belief in the game.

A few weeks ago my mom, my aunt, and I went upstate to build a nest for Ava’s music video! 3 generations of Beliveau women gathering sticks and constructing a nest together.
