I met @trudyworkshop last December while we were both vending at @westcoastcraft and then I commissioned this custom bag from her and BOY WAS IT WORTH EVERY CENT.

I love watching these vintage pieces find their people. There’s something so special about watching someone open one for the first time—the curiosity, the surprise, the joy. And then seeing their expression as they discover a fragrance that feels like it was made just for them.

In a previous life, I owned a restaurant in Cairo @eishmalh . One of our specialties was house-made ice cream, with flavors inspired by the herbs and spices of local @slowfoodegypt farmers.

One of my greatest joys was watching someone take that first bite—seeing surprise, delight, and recognition all at once.

Now I get to experience that feeling all over again through fragrance. The recipes have changed, but the feeling hasn't.

The nafas is the same. ✨

It’s so much easier to sell my futuristic, Art deco-inspired hats in person, as opposed to online. Everyone has a different shaped head and facial proportions.

Tammi of San Francisco bought a lilac jinsin hand-dyed straw visor and natural walnut husk-dyed cashmere cloche hat on Saturday during our trunkshow.

Also sold a merino and cashmere wool sweater dress to Sonja and a custom jinsin visor to Eileen!

Special thanks to Christian, Tammi’s husband, who shot footage of her. Riley of @antiquesrodehoe and Calley of @trudyworkshop made the day inspiring, fulfulling and fun. They each sold their handmade designs. And Jack of @harphealing played lovely live harp 🪉. Moja, my Yorkie gave lots of love.

It felt so good to support other artists/designers and then also receive support in the way of selling my own handmade designs! Thank you to everyone who came out to show love to us. We love you!
