POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

An 8-hour workday? Not on reality TV! 🛠️🎬

One thing people don’t realize about building on TV is how much time you don’t have. Between filming, interviews, production, and actually getting the work done, every minute counts!⏰

So what does it REALLY take to build on TV? 👀

We’re talking about it on Renovation Rewind the behind-the-scenes stories you didn’t get to see from me on HGTV!

Little Zanny,

The paintbrush got smaller but the dreams got bigger.

And the adult version of you understood his mission was to help others honor and unburden their inner child, so their outer adult can thrive.

Your creativity and imagination are at the core of it all. Never forget, God’s hand authored it all.

Good job.

Big Zan 💎

Tonight is the season finale of Renovation Resort Showdown…
🥹🥳☺️🤭🤗

And as I look back on this journey, I keep thinking about all the people who carried me to and through this amazing opportunity.

It truly takes a village. ❤️

My husband, who stands beside me through every unknown, every sacrifice, and every answered prayer. The man of God who has been there through all the twists and turns of this beautiful journey.

My mother, who struck the match that ignited my passion for this work long ago and continues to fan the flame from Garden Dr. to architecture school and beyond.

My loving family members, encouraging friends, and supportive clients who celebrate this dream as if it were their own. Everyone who gathered in our home, cheered from across the country, shared a post, sent a message, or said a prayer, all are a constant reminder that I belong here.

My God-given gifts and talents may have put me on television, but standing on the shoulders of my village is what made it possible.

Thank you for showing up for me.
Thank you for loving me.
Thank you for helping me believe this was possible.

Tonight, we watch the finale of HGTV’s Renovation Resort Showdown season 3 and somehow, I know this is only the beginning. 🥹

🥂 to my village.

Year 39 was filled with faith, growth, answered prayers, and unforgettable milestones. I’m truly thankful for God’s hand in every chapter of this journey.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord… Jeremiah 29:11

👷🏽‍♀️ August 2025: A Leap of Faith
Packed my bags and moved to Canada to compete on Renovation Resort, where four design + build duos transformed a lakeside resort through weekly renovation challenges. As the builder, I turned our ideas into reality through crafts(wo)manship, fabrication, and installation.

🎬 September: Building Behind the Scenes
Hard work, long days, and a whole lot of heart. While the cameras captured the build, every episode was powered by an incredibly talented crew whose dedication brought my story to life behind the lens.

🎥 October: A Dream Captured
For the first time, my design + build work was professionally photographed. Seeing something I created through someone else’s lens was a milestone in its own right.

🦖 November: One Adventure at a Time
Celebrated five years of marriage the best way we know how: getting outside, making memories, and exploring somewhere new. This year, that adventure included dinosaurs.

💡 December: Passing It On
Taught my very first LED sign-making class and shared a skill I taught myself years ago. There’s something special about turning what you’ve learned into something you can teach.

🗓️ January: Write the Vision…
…and make it plain. Started the year with vision, a calendar, a plan, and plenty of room for God to do more than I could plan for myself.

📺 February: Pressing Publish
After filming it, editing it, and probably overthinking it, I finally pressed publish on my first YouTube video. A new chapter in telling my own stories, my own way.

You can find the series through the link in my bio.

🎤 March: Found My Voice
Had the opportunity to take the stage as a design + build industry expert at the Level Up Your Listing conference. Every time I say “yes” to sharing my story, another door seems to open.

🎞️ April: Home to Work
Returned home to Michigan to celebrate my grandmother’s 86th birthday and came back with so much more. I discovered the creative support I’d been sea

Honored to be featured by Voyage Dallas. ✨

Over the years, I’ve had opportunities to be featured alongside collaborators, project partners, and castmates.

🤭 This is my first solo feature.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to see my words in print and share my story, my work, and the philosophy that guides everything I build.

The irony is that Voyage Dallas has reached out to me several times since I founded House of Truluck in 2021.

Every time, I said yes but never followed through.

This time was different.

In the article, I share the journey behind my business, how personal seasons reshaped my perspective, and why I believe meaningful spaces begin with understanding the story of the people who inhabit them.

Looking back, I don’t think I was waiting to become qualified.

I was waiting for perfect.

And perfection has a way of keeping us from moving.

Thank you, @voyagedallas, for sharing my story.

Pictured here is the suitcase turned urinal 🚽, as told on our latest episode “Strange Bedfellows”

The Lunchbreakers tell a story about a friend who had a little too much to drink 🧃and ends up turning Zan’s wife’s suitcase into a urinal…after almost turning Stew into a urinal.

We think it’s time to bring an end to guys trips after this one.

First Degree Attempted Urination has to be in the penal codes.
