Coach and Compete.

Usually it’s me pushing the kids to compete hard and unlock their full potential. Now, I can honestly say that they’ve helped me become a better competitor by pushing me when we race each other. This Dallas Texas crew is a special one. I’m thankful and proud of every single one of our athletes.

Season 18 Qualifying

What a night! Without my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, none of this would be possible. I wanted to type out a long message (like my mom does 😉) but overall I’m just grateful I get to do the thing I love with the people I love.

I still have a lot left when it comes to competing and I’m happy with the 8th spot in a room of amazing competitors. Now it’s time to go hard in the Regional Finals next week 🫡.

Thank you to everyone out there supporting me on the sidelines and virtually. It wouldn’t be #TeamKarsten without you.

It’s crazy to think I’ll be entering my 12th season on American Ninja Warrior. As I’ve competed over the years, my “why” has evolved into something I never imagined. Every time I step up to the starting platform I remind myself as to why I still pursue the stress, pressure, and thrill of competing.

At first it was just about doing something crazy to challenge myself and step outside of my comfort zone. Today, it’s very different and much bigger than me. My focus now is to help athletes and this sport reach levels we never thought possible.

I’m extremely grateful to see many of my students get the opportunity to compete along side me over the last few years and it’s an amazing feeling hard to express. Tune in this Monday 8/7c on @nbc to see the newest chapter of my story still being written.

Season 11: Stage 2- National Finals (2019)

This was my first time ever tackling Stage 2, and I went in with zero expectations... but EVERYTHING to prove. I’d been beat up, chewed up, and spit out more times than I can count so we came in ready to battle.

No fear, nothing to lose, just the same relentless approach that got me this far.

In life and on the course: Believe you can, and you WILL.

Sharing this experience with my students, family, and friends was unreal, and I’m thankful for their support 🙏🏽
