Specific themes appear occasionally in my therapy office. In such concentrated ways, I can’t ignore it!
This is the past few weeks…..
1. Incredibly high eq client sees a theme w someone harming them.
2. They’ve been trained ( as have others) to not explain the theme to the person (and really solid ones)
3. I ask if they or anyone has ever said it that way to the person
4. They say no and possibly quite accurately say ‘they can’t be dofferent’

… my concern isn’t them necessarily being different…. Mine is my clients…. I don’t want them to ever question themselves ‘what if…’

Only caveat: saying ‘the thing’ could cause future harm to a child.
