You do not need to feel motivated before you take care of yourself.

Motivation is helpful—but it’s temporary. It changes with your sleep, workload, stress, family responsibilities and everything else happening in your life.

Consistency becomes easier when your minimum is realistic.

Instead of promising yourself an hour-long workout every day, choose one 10-minute habit:

• Walk for 10 minutes
• Complete a short strength circuit
• Practice mobility for 10 minutes
• Take a beginner Pilates lesson
• Prepare something that supports tomorrow’s workout

Ten minutes may not be your entire plan. It’s the habit that keeps you connected to the plan.

You can always do more when you have the time and energy. On difficult days, completing your minimum still counts.

If you’re over 40, returning to exercise or tired of repeatedly starting over, DM me “TEN.” I’ll help you choose a realistic first step.

You don’t have to earn the right to enter a gym.

You don’t need to be smaller, stronger, more coordinated, or more confident before you begin. Those are things a supportive environment can help you develop—not prerequisites for walking through the door.

@truvefit , beginners aren’t an inconvenience. They’re part of our community.

If you’re in Oakland and have been waiting to feel “ready,” DM me “BEGIN.” You can start exactly where you are with a free week of regular group classes on me + 1 free Pilates reformer class.

Interested in reformer pilates, but not sure how to get started?

I offer two great options, both are perfect for beginners!

Small group Reformer classes Sundays at 9:30am. Space is intentionally limited so you can receive feedback and practice proper form. We'll move through a flow designed to increase mobility, body awareness, and strengthen the core. No judgments, just movement.

Private lessons offered in downtown Oakland, available throughout the day to work for your schedule. We can go over the basics, take a look at your unique movement patterns, and help you feel more confident in group classes.

All offered through @truvefit , a downtown Oakland business 💖

Some things never go out of style. Classical Pilates is one of them.

What if you stopped “starting over”?

I can’t tell you how many people believe one missed workout, one weekend away, or one indulgent meal means they’ve failed.

It doesn’t.

The problem isn’t getting off track. That’s part of being human.

The problem is convincing yourself you have to wait until Monday, next month, or January 1st to try again.

Real progress isn’t about perfection.

It’s about making the next choice a healthy one.

✨ Here’s one thing you can do today:

The next time you catch yourself thinking, “I blew it…” pause and ask:

“What’s one healthy choice I can make right now?”

That question can change everything.

Because little things, done consistently, become big things.

👇 Have you ever caught yourself saying, “I’ll start again on Monday?”

We’re often waiting for the moment that changes everything.

Monday.

January 1st.

The perfect workout plan.

The perfect time to start.

But lasting health is rarely built through one big decision.

It’s built through hundreds of tiny ones.

The extra glass of water.

The five-minute walk.

Going to bed a little earlier.

Stretching before bed.

None of those habits seem extraordinary on their own.

Together, they’re powerful.

✨ Here’s one thing you can do today:

Choose one healthy habit that feels so small you know you can repeat it tomorrow.

Don’t focus on changing your life.

Focus on becoming the kind of person who keeps showing up.

Because little things, done consistently, become big things.

💬 What’s one tiny habit you’re willing to repeat tomorrow?

We spend so much time measuring our health by the number on the scale.

But what if you measured it differently?

More energy.

Better sleep.

Feeling stronger.

Laughing more.

Walking without getting out of breath.

Here’s one thing you can do today.

Write down one non-scale victory you’ve noticed this week.

Because little things, done consistently, become big things.
