Lubbock Habitat is honored to share our collaboration with Texas Tech’s Huckabee College of Architecture for an exciting design build studio in honor of a longtime volunteer and professor, emeritus John White.

TTU students are designing the home this semester and will take to the build site in spring of 2027 to construct it!

Mr. Chris Huckabee has offered an incredible $75,000 matching gift and we need your help to match it dollar for dollar.

Scan the QR code on the flyer or tap the link or bio to donate and support both our future architects and a local family in need.

Compression and release through thresholds — Midterm Project (“In Limbo”)
“Limbo” innovates exploration of spatial and scalar harmony through means of tectonic and stereotomic relations.

Final midterm model (slide 19) is calculated at 1/4” = 1’, deriving from the original site of 40’ x 40’. This will later expand to 120’ x 120’.

Models are constructed of chipboard (40 + 20pt), 3d printing means, foam-core, wood sticks, and museum board.
