A Thing of Beauty...
.
New camera alert! I've been searching for a mint condition Mamiya Six Automat for a long time. I found this one in Japan and was amazed by the beautiful condition for a camera that was built around 1955. It has hardly ever been used. The shutter was a bit slow, so I had the folks at @tucsoncamerarepair work it over for me. It's a beauty. Medium format in a small(ish), foldable, camera and built as a precision instrument to stand the test of time. I know there's lots of folders out there, but I just love these Mamiyas. Stand by for incoming square photographs...

FILM FRIDAY. Courthouse capture on 35mm film. Same spot - 2 different days, 2 different lenses.

50mm vs 28mm (wide angle)

The ol’ Canon really likes the bright sunny days. Those colors are popping in the first image! Classic warm vintage vibes in the second.

GOOD NEWS! I got my camera back from Tucson Camera Repair yesterday so I’m back in business!

(If you haven’t been following along, these are captures from a 42 year old Canon AE1, passed down from my mom in the 90’s, but I haven’t used it in probably 20 years. And I’m in LOVE!)
