We’re having a cookout next Thursday and y’all are invited!! Folks interested in doing cooperative work, folks doing the collaborative thing, kids, grandparents, neighbors—we’re gathering on August 27th! We’ll be breaking bread (with GF options of course), playing field games and we’ll share intentional time together as we workshop talking to strangers, pushing past our social anxieties, and having intentional questions for folks to meet each other 1:1.

This is a potluck cookout—we’ll provide the proteins and toppings, you bring your favorite side. 🍉🍇🧃🍰🫜🍝🍪🥨🍟🫒

RSVP on our website in our bio or at clevelandowns.coop ✨

📡 Cleveland I'm comin at you tomorrow! Excited to be a part of kicking off the inaugural event for the new techno series Phase:Zero

🌊🔄🔊 Does every cycle begin somewhere, or has it always been in motion?

Gathering around rhythm is not new. Long before the technology of soundsystems, there still existed the pulse of drums, gathering, & dancing. People moving together as one with the rhythm, connecting profoundly to each other and things beyond. Phase:Zero exists somewhere in that continuum.

For our inaugural gathering, we will return to our roots to something more terrestrial, earthy, hypnotic; a sound that taps into instinct, not spectacle. We will be featuring special guest Duck Trash from Detroit known for curating strange synesthesiaic sounds in their jackin' midwest techno sets.

Local support by uh huh, Sissybunny, angelgirl EVA, and Innergroove as well as immersive visual art by Tumnus Rex and lighting by C-Star will mirror the flow of sound and space. We will see you where the beginning meets the end. ✨

Last night’s fundraiser for the CAN Journal was awesome.

Thank you to everyone that made it a success. @jasontothart #ciff50 @canjournal @eterovichdaughter @graftonnunes, Sharon Milligan, Maria Neil Art Project, John William’s and Dale Althea, The CAN Board of Directors and @fruitisgudd and all of our volunteers.

I tried 3 drinks: The Tony Eterovich, The Decter Davis and the drink named after me which was Dynamite. All were delicious!!!

The film created was a monumental endeavor. I don’t even think we had time to showcase all art submitted. But we will be ready for next year for sure.

Know that anything new may have kinks that need to work out. We are working them out!

“Freezer Burn”
Paper mache on canvas
2025

On view now at @feinberggalleryatcainpark
Until October 6 2025

Dedicated to all my fellow Latinos and immigrants. Amplifying the harsh impact of ICE and our current political climate. The effect it has on our culture and how it has overtaken Latino culture and overall villainized us and immigrants in general.

The silver metal in this piece represents the physical embodiment of “ICE” taking over the vibrant saturated colors representing our “culture”. Contrasted to the jagged edges of the shape being deformed and constrained by these bands of colors. Altering its final form.
Built upon a structure (paper mache) which has deep seated Latino origins and traditional history.

This piece breaks my heart and it hurt me to make but it is work I feel that I have to make as it is our current reality.

Our culture can never be taken from us. No one is illegal on stolen land.

Huge thank you to @tumnusrex @_rexistential.crisis_ @fruitisgudd
I love both of you so much I am honored to be such great friends with beautiful people.

Please check out this show and everyone else involved who I love so dearly

@angelinadifranco snuggling up with the Sensory Cell 🦠

This guy won’t be attending upcoming events with me because he’ll actually be on display at: Through the Veil: Framing Faith & Ritual hosted by @fruitisgudd and @_rexistential.crisis_ at Feinberg Gallery ( @feinberggalleryatcainpark ) in Cain Park! 🌈

Opening reception is at 6-8pm on August 29th. This exhibition will run until October 5th.
Check it out - this installation, gallery, and interactive exhibit all together isn’t one you won’t want to miss!

I’ll also have a few crocheted/other sensory items, that will be incorporated into the “Womb Room” that you will be able to lounge on & fully interact with.

*Sensory Cell will be the only item available for purchase & displayed in the gallery.*

UNDERSTORY presents Terms of Engagement, an interdisciplinary group exhibition curated by Stephen Calhoun and Susan Snipes. From August 13 to September 27, 2025, the exhibition features eight artists whose works transform the conventional act of "viewing” into a process of “doing”. The artists ask you not just to look at work, but to make a response, a decision, or a shift in perception. Terms of Engagement is expressly designed to provide rewards for spontaneous participation, creativity, and playfulness.

Meet participating artist Tumnus Rex @tumnusrex

Tumnus Rex is a kaleidoscopic artist, writer and facilitator who lives in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2024 they graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art where they received a BFA in Painting. Rex’s work explores light, pattern, perception and reflection through an expansively experimental studio practice. They often use LED’s, glass, mirrors, photography and paint to manifest kaleidoscopic installations. Rex has shown all over Cleveland and is currently making work for their 2 person show at Cain Park in August.
