WORLDS COLLIDING 🌍💥

Two worlds. One extraordinary encounter.

At first glance, this photograph looks like a scene from another universe: two colourful planetary forms suspended in darkness, almost touching, their surfaces alive with gold, electric blue and violet.

Created through macro photography, familiar details become something enormous and otherworldly.

That’s what inspired the title Worlds Colliding — two separate worlds caught just before they meet.

THE AWAKENING 💙✨

Do you see an angel, a spirit rising, or something entirely different? 👀

There’s something almost otherworldly about this photograph. A luminous figure seems to emerge from swirling shades of blue, surrounded by tiny particles of light, as though it’s slowly awakening from the darkness.

What fascinates me most is how an abstract photograph can suggest something so recognisable, even when the subject itself is something completely different.

That’s the beauty of abstract photography: everyone can discover their own story within the same image.

If you had told me 10 years ago that my art would be a part of corporate projects around the country, I can’t imagine what I would have said. Do these emojis paint an accurate picture 😱😳😲🤯🥹?

They found new life, just not with me. Exclusive Release: The Lost Works Find New Life in a partnership with TurningArt. Through this collaboration, a curated selection of “lost works” paintings destroyed in the 2014 fire, will be available as exclusive archival prints only through @turningart TurningArt connects artists with collectors, designers, and curated spaces across the country, serving Business, Healthcare, Hospitality, Designers, Institutions, and Real Estate with contemporary art programs.
They also partner with 1stDibs, Made & Curated, Perigold, and West Elm, expanding the reach of fine art into thoughtfully designed environments. This collection represents an essential chapter of my practice, preserved and made accessible once again through prints.

Apparently I’m sharing my summer projects just as summer is coming to an end!

This one had me 15 feet in the air for a couple of weeks.

*Summer Triangle* is the ceiling mural I created for @opusksq in Kennett Square, inspired by Cygnus, Lyra and Aquila, the three constellations that form the Summer Triangle.

The idea felt especially fitting for *Opus*: three distinct constellations connected across the sky to create one larger composition. There are quieter layers woven in too. Lyra has its ancient connection to music and the lyre, while Cygnus, the swan, carries stories of music, beauty and transformation. I liked the idea that you don’t have to know any of that to experience the mural, but it’s there to discover if you look a little closer.

I wanted the ceiling to change as you moved through the space, so the constellations travel through clouds and a larger field of stars with different metallic golds catching the light. At certain angles the lines glow, and at others they almost disappear.

And then I had to actually get the whole thing onto the ceiling. 😅 I created fullscale patterns, used my electric pouncer to burn thousands of tiny holes into the drawings, then transferred them overhead using the traditional pounce process.My friend @emily.elliottb came out for the first two days to help me wrangle and transfer the giant patterns, and from there I spent the next 8 days on the scaffold painting and glazing it all by hand.

Seeing Opus finally open and watching this become part of the finished space is pretty special. I’m so grateful to @turningart for bringing me into the project and for the trust to create something on this scale.

Opus is also connected to @arteloksq , an art filled hotel featuring murals and original work by so many talented artists. A huge thank you to @turningart @squarerootscollective , @bpgs_construction , @trade_architects @joannerscott and all the contractors and trades who worked to bring the place together!!

If you’re in kennett, go have dinner, look up, and then wander around to see all the art.
