❄️𝚂𝙽𝙾𝚆 𝚂𝚃𝙰𝙲𝙺❄️

Thank you to @booksta4u for tagging me in this fun challenge!!🙈❤️
The snow has already melted where I live , I just barely was able to take this picture before it completely melted😬😬

My favorite season is winter, so I am always happy when we get a couple of snowy days before it melts again. It just makes November and December more magical for me. Plus, I like pipping hot chocolate after a good snowball fight.

I always look forward to the cold and wintery season, and I can't wait for it to snow again!!🙈❄️

What is your favorite season?? Feel free to comment if you want to!!🙈❄️❄️

I tagged a couple of people but no pressure !!

❤️ 𝙷𝚒, 𝚖𝚢 𝚋𝚘𝚘𝚔 𝚏𝚊𝚒𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜❤️

I hope you are all enjoying the sunny summer weather and are getting lots of reading done.

I've finally gotten around to reading the sequel to The Serpent and The Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent. The Ashes and the Star cursed king!!

But I'm already worried that it will leave me hot and dry, searching for another book to fill the void 😅🤣🤣

What is your current read?? And do you have any recommendations on what to read next ??🤔🤔

📚 𝙼𝚢 𝚝𝚘𝚙 𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚢 𝚜𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜 📚

Thanks for the tag @bookish_brenna 🩷😊

My new background is a bit small for two books, so I only took a picture of a series I want to finish😅

Series, I want to start:
Oh boy, oh boy , there are so many. I can't even fathom how I'll ever get through them all. But I'm still excited every time I think about it!!

📚 Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber
📚 Legendborn by Tracy Deone
📚 Belladonna by Adalyn Grace
📚 An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

Series I need to finish:

I have a bad habit of starting a series and then starting a different one and then another one😅. So I'm always in the middle of a different series, and it takes me a while to finish each.

📚 The plated prisoner series by Raven Kennedy
📚 A Touch of Darkness series by Scarlett St Claire
📚 Crowns of Nyaxia by Carissa Broadbent
📚 Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco
📚 The Dark Elements by Jennifer L Armentrout
📚 The War of Lost Hearts by Carissa Broadbent

Yeah I have a lot of book series I need to finish😅 it's a good way to save money😅🙈

What are the top series u want to finish or start?

💙𝙼𝚎𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎 𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚢💙

2024 has just begun, and I haven't read that many books yet, but I can attest that I really enjoyed this book. I remember it was everywhere on my feed last year. I have the tendency to read a book after the hype is over or when the hype has died down.

There is something about V.E. Schwab's writing style that just drew me in. I kept wanting to see what Addie would do next. Additionally, isn't heartwrenching to think that someone would forget you the moment they leave your sight??

And you could feel the anxiety and fragility of Addie and Henry's relationship. And just hoping it would end happily. The ending just left me in awe, and it took me a bit before I picked up a new book.

What has been your most memorable read in 2024 thus far?? Comment below!!😊🙈

✨️🖐𝙵𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝙵𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚛 𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚗𝚐𝚎 🖐✨️

I was tagged in this challenge by the lovely @booksta4u. Thank u for tagging me in this fun challenge. I'm not gonna lie , some of these were tough choices.

Pinkie 🤙- a book I promised to read :

I keep telling myself to read Outlander by Diana Gabaldon since I watched the TV show, and I really wanted to read the books, but somehow, I never get around to doing it 😅😅

Ring finger 🖖 - a character I would marry:

I always loved Nicolai. He was my favorite character in the Shadow and Bone series , and even more so after the King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo.

Middle finger 🖐 - a book I didn't like:

I really liked the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard, so I was excited for this one, but very soon, after starting it, I dropped it, since I didn't like the story or the pace.

Index finger ☝️- a book I always recommend :

City of Brass by S.A Chakraborty. I love the whole series. The magic and world building are beautiful, and the story is very gripping. I've read it 4 times, and I love it every single time.

Thumb 👍 - a book I love

The Traitors Kiss by Erin Beaty is one of my favorite books. I love that the mystery and intrigue. Sage is an unforgettable heroine, and the subtle romance between Sage and Captain Quinn is lovely. Plus, the cover of the book is gorgeous😍

I have tagged a couple of people, and they are free to participate or just enjoy some new inspo for their tbr!!

TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW
Author: @gabriellezevin
My rating: 3.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Much against the popular critique of this book, I would say it was an average read for me. I didn’t quite understand the hype!
So the popular belief about Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow that it is all about games and gaming might only be partially true.

The story is about two kids - Sam and Sadie meet at a hospital where Sadie finds Sam playing games and instantly joins him. The two become best of friends, until Sam finds out that Sadie goes to the hospital daily to meet Sam only to fill in her hours of community service.

Sam missed Sadie. But Sam’s best friends - Marx filled this place for him somehow. When Sadie and Sam met, Sadie hands over a game called Solution to Sam and asks him to play and review it for her. From here the story begins.. Sam and Sadie go on to making many games together, the most famous and their first game being ‘Ichigo’. They rise to fame, build their own company called Unfair Games and earn immense amount of money. They keep making sequels, work their lives out, when a tragedy occurs. Sadie and Sam lose touch. But they meet again, to start over again.

Now if one sees from my perspective this is the story. But in between, the events that took place are of interest. The personal and professional lives of Marx, Sam and Sadie get entwined, there’s love, betrayal, disability, disappointment, shock, fame, friendship in the story. And let’s not forget lots and lots of games. More than games, it’s about the people who built games and what’s the idea and perception that goes behind making them.

This is the only book that I have read of Zevin and I must say the writing style is excellent. The best part about the book? Zevin draws a parallel between the real world and the world of gaming.. in real world you just have one life. One mistake can ruin it all. Everything gets over at once! But in a game, there are infinite lives, one can restart if something goes wrong, mistakes can be rectified, the gamers remains guilt free.

I would just say that it’s a good read !!
