Next in market t-shirt tales. This is the t-shirt that came with the prize for @amyrhodagrace1 winning best writing for our short film "Maureen" at the Topaz Women's Film Festival in Texas in 2022. Amy got the trophy but I kept the t-shirt.😁 I did an online middle of our night time q&a with the festival which was so much fun. Happy filmmaking days with @penny_962 @tweeksi @thereseartist @ursulaclearyart @blythe.duff @saldoreid @notenoughpens @soundburdclaire@photosbycindylouramsay

We are thrilled to celebrate Everybody to Kenmure Street winning four awards at Biografilm 2026!

🏆 Best Film,
🏆 Hera « Nuovi Talenti » Award
🏆 Young Critics Award
🏆 Audience Award

Jury statement: « This film disarms through apparent simplicity, producing a raw flow of time and a sense of immediate presence. Behind it — rigorous craft of composition, weaving countless viewpoints into a whole that seems to breathe as one. Through a balance of captured and constructed, we are drawn into the intensity of one singular experience, but also into the continuous aftermath of reflecting on its meaning. This ode to the power of community embodies its politics in the very way it is made. Against the toxic narratives of power, it reminds us that every city is Glasgow and every street is Kenmure Street. »

Huge congratulations to the entire team on this remarkable achievement. 👏

While I was meditating today, suddenly this work popped up in my mind. I realised that I posted a picture of this work exactly 10 years ago from today on the way to go Edinburgh to edit the film with @cplkao from Huddersfield.

I really loved this work but I feel like this was the least lucky piece which wasn’t accepted anywhere to show. I submitted as a dance film but I don’t think it fitted in that category. Recently, I was talking about this work with Lucas again, and Lucas described it as a “dance installation”, which feels definitely a better description.

No matter what happened to the work, I am an extremely lucky person who I was able to work with the amazing and beautiful people.

Over the moon to announce the good news that our lead actress Natali McCleary had won the Gort Award Best Actor at the 51st @bostonscifi this year! Thank you for the recognition of her stunning performance as Eliza in the film! Thank you @annadawsoncasting for putting together the amazing cast and every cast and crew for making this film!

The last image shows the GORT Award statuette made by designer Casey A. Riley from a WIRED magazine interview in 2010, Duncan Jones also got his GORT award for The Moon. ““I incorporated an amalgamation of classic and modern sci-fi influences, from the art deco lines of the robot Maria in Metropolis to the iconic imagery of the 1951 brutalist version of Gort [from The Day the Earth Stood Still] and the sleek interpretation of the remake,” Riley told Wired.com in an e-mail interview.”

We look forward to receive it soon and pass it to Natali!

This was a first for my mum. She doesn’t usually go to the cinema and, as far as I can remember, she’d never been before.

These past few days, watching the documentary with family and friends has felt really special. So many of them have experienced racism in one form or another. Being profiled, dealing with everyday microaggressions, or facing more serious discrimination at work or in daily life.

This film, and what happened in Pollokshields almost five years ago, reminds me why I feel so strongly about where we live. It reinforced something we already knew. That our neighbourhood is made up of people who, when it mattered, chose compassion and fairness over division.

People from all backgrounds came together. Not defined by race or nationality, but by a shared sense of what was right.

None of us choose where we were born. And moments like this show what’s possible when people stand together.

Everybody to Kenmure Street.

Happy release day! Here's EVERYBODY TO KENMURE STREET.

We started working on it in the days following the protest, relearning that solidarity is empathy, a way of life, an everyday recipe. Creating safe spaces for everyone makes us better people, forms better communities and forges happier lives. Solidarity is also a muscle that can atrophy if we rest on past laurels.

It has been a labour of love, full of stories, images and people who have sustained us for five years. Thank you so much to everyone involved.

See it in your local cinema, see it with good friends and good strangers. Thank you @sundanceorg and @glasgowfilmfest and your audiences for your incredible welcome and warmth!

As @glasgowfilmfest draws to a close tomorrow we want to take a moment to give a shout out to all those who’ve made these a brilliant, eventful and celebratory couple of weeks… from opening the festival with the homecoming premiere of @kenmurestreet, to celebrating our 10th year with our friends & colleagues at @conicfilm, to a fireside ‘Made in Glasgow’ chat with Glasgow Film CEO @seonaidd. It’s not an easy gig producing indie films and we’re thankful to everyone who has supported us to keep going.

Thank you & high fives to team GFF 2026, to Paul, Debbie, Sam and all for hosting us! We 💜 Glasgow x
