Decorex 2026 . . .

Popped in for a quick look around and say hello to a few friends at last week’s Decorex.

The absolute highlight for me was the central ‘bar’ area. Always located quite centrally in the pavilion, usually completely exposed, and with a traditional type of bar setup.

This year it was totally different. The powerhouse that is Alex Dauley of @alexandriadauley @aevencollective created the most beautiful space to meet, relax and network.

Not only did she enclose it, enveloping it in deep burgundy and a billowy, linen tented ceiling, Alex and Grant Pierrus, the co-founders of @aevencollective turned it into a collaborative concept, showcasing artists and makers, called ‘A Seat At The Table’.

To find out more visit @aevencollective and @alexandriadauley

The beautiful drapery was made and installed by the very talented @twhinteriors

And it was so welcoming, comfortable and easy on the eye I ended up staying here and chatting for ages 🫶

Congratulations my beautiful friends @alexandriadauley @twhinteriors @grantpierrus 💕

Today marks the third day of Decorex, and we're celebrating the incredible collaborators who have helped bring A Seat at the Table to life.

Each and every contribution has played an important role in transforming Grant Pierrus and Alex Dauley's vision into a reality.

Bringing together different disciplines, sharing expertise and creating opportunities for people and businesses to achieve something extraordinary together is a core value at AEVEN.

To every collaborator who has contributed their time, skill, resources and support, thank you for being part of this journey.

We're incredibly proud of what has been created together.

A Seat at the Table has come to life, bringing together an extraordinary community of makers, designers and collaborators through a shared celebration of craftsmanship, creativity and connection.

On Monday morning, we had the pleasure of hosting the AEVEN Makers' Breakfast, bringing together the people behind the pieces for a morning of conversations, introductions and new connections.

After months of planning and collaboration, there was something particularly special about hearing the stories behind the work and seeing relationships form around the very pieces that brought us together.

At its heart, A Seat at the Table is about creating space for these exchanges. A place where independent makers can share their stories, have their voices heard and take their rightful seat within the wider design community.

The chairs and pieces brought us together. The conversations are what will carry us forward.

Recently, I attended the @aevencollective Creative Growth Summit at @woven_is, and left with so much to reflect on.

I loved the focus on creativity, refining your perspective and continuing to evolve your own creative language. It made me think about how new references, conversations and influences shape the way we work, both within our projects and in our own homes.

Thank you @grantpierrus and @alexandriadauley for creating such a beautiful space for conversation, connection and creative reflection. I have plenty of inspiration to carry forward!
