How do I like my eggs? FERTILIZED … (eventually) 🥚😏

Working in women’s health for over 7 years has completely changed the way I see fertility testing. It used to be something I thought was only important when you’re struggling to get pregnant and need to find out why. Now, it’s something I think everyone who knows they want a family someday should do.

I got mine tested for the first time in 2025 and then again this year (this time with my bf) so that we both feel confident about where we’re at and what our timeline looks like for starting a family.

We’re not trying for kids any time soon but it’s such important information to have so you can make the right choices for yourself. For me, based on my 2025 results I knew that if I wasn’t in a relationship with the person I saw myself having kids with by the time I was 30, I would freeze my eggs. That was a personal decision and depending on your results, what you choose to do might look different!

Fertility testing is only a big deal if you make it one. We NEED to have these conversations and be proactive about fertility, especially if having a family is something that’s really important to you (like it is to me!).

i wish i could tell my younger self that “this is just what periods are like” wasn’t an answer i had to accept. when i was in my 20s, i was told the extremely heavy, painful periods i’d had since i was 11 were normal… so i stopped asking questions for a long time.

the procedure i had in may completely changed my cycle: my period has been so much lighter, less painful, and less disruptive to my life. obviously that’s just my experience (i’m not a doctor and can’t speak for anyone else) but it made me realize how long i had normalized something that was making my life sooooo much harder every single month.

whether you’re thinking about fertility soon or you’re dealing with any kind of symptoms that don’t feel right, please please please keep asking questions until you feel properly heard.
