In the latest installment of Echoes & Origins at Rodeo Cinema Stockyards, we find Texan indie pioneer Eagle Pennell’s Last Night at the Alamo paired with Jackson Cropper’s No Acorns for a Blind Hog in a night of beer-fueled Neo-realism. In their newest write-up, programmer Elijah Bigler (@eli.bigler) sat down with Jackson to discuss influence, shooting on film, the importance of ethnography, and the scope of modern-day Southern filmmaking.
