He’s in his feet-up era…

Fun fact: I’ve been bald since I was 23 (11 years strong 🧑🏾‍🦲).
Tried all the supplements… even considered a trip to Turkey for a hair transplant — still might go, and if I do… mind your business 😂✈️

First day back to work after 4 weeks 👶🏽💼

The day every new parent dreads and for me, my first as a dad. Time flew by way too fast. I didn’t want to leave Tera & Grayson, but I knew the day would come.

I had my worries… would it be too much for Tera since we’re used to our little routine? But she killed it yesterday 🙌🏽 until I got home and Dad clocked in for the night shift 😂

One thing about me family comes before everything. God first, Tera, Grayson, then everything else. My career is cool, but what’s success if I’m failing as a husband or father?

Of course, I had to come home with a few of Tera’s favorite things!

My family changed my whole perspective. Wealth isn’t money — it’s family. We’re a unit!

A phenomenal way to truly end the school year with @snda1972 at the 53rd National Conference 🥂 I am so honored to be a recipient of the Heartland Dental Scholarship awarded to students who are passionate about dental care, value work-life balance, and take pride in working hard while staying true to theirselves. This was an amazing experience and I am so blessed to be surrounded by a dental community from all over the country. Seeing my NC folks, recent Tufts alumni, and one of my dental role models (@drjoyy ) has been an incredible experience. I’m already excited for 2026🎊

A is for Anxiety.

Being a dentist already has our backs in a chokehold.
Then pregnancy came in like: “Let me add a little sciatica to that.” 😩

Between patients, posture, and baby prep, our spines have been through it. So we hit up @thejointchiro —nervous laugh included.

Yes, we were lowkey scared about the neck cracking (because… what if?? 👀) But the truth? It was gentle, it was safe, and it was everything our bodies didn’t know we needed.
Bestie, listen…
☕ You’re allowed to take care of you, even before things feel “bad enough.”
☕ Your back is not supposed to feel like a 90s dial-up modem.
☕ You can love what you do and admit it’s messing with your body.

Chiropractic care has been our reset button—gentle, consistent, and necessary.

Yes, we’re part of that 3.8%
But that stat is more than a number.
It’s a reminder: we are the representation we once looked for 👨🏾‍⚕️👩🏾‍⚕️

And every step we took to get here? It mattered.
If you had told us years ago:
1. We’d marry another Black dentist
2. That together we’d be part of the 3.8% of Black dentists in the U.S...
We probably would’ve laughed

Because back then? We were just two kids navigating doubt, discipline, and the weight of wanting to become something we rarely saw. The wondering if we belonged in rooms that didn’t always feel made for us.
Sound familiar?

But here’s what we’ve learned:
👉🏾This journey was never just about titles or degrees…
…it’s been about resilience.
…it’s about walking through imposter syndrome and still choosing to stay.
…it’s about finding each other—and realizing we were never walking alone.

You don’t have to wait for some huge milestone to honor your progress.
There is power in the becoming.
In showing up. In trusting the slow, sacred unfolding
