HEALING THROUGH BOXING 🥊🕊️
An Update with J Smith

This @rivalboxinggear unboxing goes deeper than equipment. I’m not sponsored, but I’d welcome the opportunity.

My grandmother passed on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. Her favorite songs, shows, and memories still hit me sometimes for days.

I feel about 80% mentally and physically. My bloodwork looked good, but I’m still healing. She wanted me to become the best man I could be. Moving forward honors her; it doesn’t mean I miss her any less. 🤍

It’s okay to grieve, rest, and get help. You can hurt AND keep building. I believe we all have a calling. Yours still matters, even when progress is one small step.

Boxing helps me channel frustration, build discipline, and care for my health. Hearing others’ stories reminds me I’m not alone.

🥊 The TYCOON CLUB CHALLENGE is about growing through boxing, martial arts, and fitness learning from coaches and documenting the journey. Want to participate or have me visit your gym? DM tycoonjsmith .

LOOKING TOUGH ISN’T TRAINING. There’s no shame in being a beginner. Find a qualified boxing or Muay Thai coach. Put your ego down, learn, and stay consistent.

“Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.”

Train for confidence, control, and the judgment to walk away.

🙏 Shout out to @jshiesty.8limbs , @jrboxing916 , Coach @jhovani_geo_chavarin , @ohajaip , @rasel777_ , @giovanni1vey , @iamdionpage and @kenny_kobain . Thank you for checking on me and listening when I was down. I look forward to connecting as I document boxing AND healing.

If I missed your name, no hard feelings these came to mind first. To everyone who checks in, including those I talk to daily, I appreciate you.

🧠 Whatever you’re carrying, talk to someone you trust or a therapist. I’m here to listen, too. Your health deserves the same commitment as your dreams.

Please tag Rival Boxing below so their team can see how boxing supports my mental health. I’d love to help spread that message together.

Hard sell to some.

Easy sale to others.

Some of the best opportunities go against what the data says. A true professional knows when to follow it and when to bet against it.

And not every opinion carries the same weight.

🎬 FROM SCRIPT TO SCREEN: WITH PHARAOH | THE TYCOON CLUB

Today’s special guest is Pharaoh, co-founder of @akfilmgroup FilmGroup alongside his business partner, Mr. Walls! 🎥🔥

Coming from Iowa to California, Pharaoh found a partner who shared his passion for filmmaking. Together, they’re bringing independent films to life and proving that great ideas don’t need million-dollar budgets.

Here are 3 key lessons from our conversation:

🎬 START WITH WHAT YOU HAVE. You don’t need expensive cameras to create. Start with your phone, your ideas, and the resources available to you.

🤝 BUILD WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE. Surround yourself with people who believe in your vision, recognize their strengths, and are willing to put in the work.

💯 THE GRIND COMES BEFORE THE SHINE. Success takes consistency, dedication, and patience. Don’t chase overnight fame. Master your craft and trust the process.

There’s incredible talent right here in Sacramento and throughout California. You never know who’s creating the next big thing. Keep supporting independent creators because you never know who’s watching! 👀🎥

Special shout-out to Pharaoh and Mr. Walls! Wishing AK Film Group continued success with their upcoming projects. Stay tuned for what’s next! 🙌🏽

Remember: You don’t need a big budget to build something big. You need vision, the right team, and the courage to execute.

Peace, and blessings. 🙏🏽

FAITH OVER FAME 🙏🏽🔥 | @missionismusic

🎤 THE TYCOON CLUB PRESENTS
SPECIAL GUEST: @missionismusic

Today, I had the privilege of sitting down with @missionmusic for a powerful conversation about faith, family, music, and walking in your purpose. This was a top-tier interview that reminded me why sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and trust God with the outcome.

What started with me reaching out turned into a true blessing. During a difficult season in my own life, one of his songs caught my attention on TikTok. To now sit across from him and hear his story is a reminder that God can connect the right people at the right time.

3 POWERFUL LESSONS FROM THIS INTERVIEW:

1️⃣ START BEFORE YOU FEEL READY. 🚀
Stop waiting for the perfect moment. Your first step doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to happen. Stay consistent, trust the process, and give your vision time to grow.

2️⃣ SUCCESS SHOULD NEVER COST YOU YOUR FAMILY. ❤️
Building your dream requires discipline and time management, but don’t forget the people who matter most. Make time for your craft while continuing to show up for your wife, children, and family.

3️⃣ WALK IN FAITH AND PURSUE YOUR PURPOSE. 🙏🏽
When God places a vision on your heart, have the courage to pursue it. Stay true to yourself, put in the work, and trust His timing. You don’t have to compromise who you are to become who you’re called to be.

A MESSAGE TO @MISSIONMUSIC 🤝🏽

Keep being great, keep growing, and continue using your gift to impact lives. May your music reach the people who need it most, and may your success continue to grow without losing sight of your faith and family. Thank you for your time and for sharing your story with The Tycoon Club. I look forward to connecting again for another interview.

KEEP YOUR FAITH. PROTECT YOUR PURPOSE. BUILD YOUR LEGACY. 🏆

Remember: You don’t need the perfect plan to begin. You need the courage to take the first step, the discipline to keep going, and the faith to trust the journey.

Peace, and blessings. 🙏🏽💯

🏡 REAL ESTATE WITH PURPOSE | WITH JASMINE SUNKARA

I sat down with @homesbyjasmine_ at one of her listings in Folsom, California, for Tycoon Club Podcast. What stood out most? Her commitment to putting her clients first.

🔑 A few lessons from our conversation:

• EXPLORE YOUR OPTIONS. Selling isn’t always the right next move. Renting out your property or waiting may better fit your goals.

• KNOW YOUR BUDGET. Speak with a mortgage lender or loan officer early to understand financing, preapproval, and a payment you’re comfortable with before shopping.

• PUT PEOPLE FIRST. Listen, communicate, and care about the lives behind each transaction. Lasting relationships start with service.

• MOVE WITH FAITH. Trust God, take that first step, and keep showing up when progress feels slow. Your current challenges don’t have to be your finish line.

Jasmine, thank you for making time to share your wisdom and heart. Wishing you continued success as you build your legacy through real estate! I hope you enjoy your gift from my mom’s business, Mo’s Beauty Box @beautyboxbymo look forward to interviewing you again. 🙏🏾🎙️

💼🔥 THE BUSINESS BEHIND THE DEAL | COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE & BUSINESS BROKERING

On this episode of Tycoon Club, I sat down with @themckinneygroup to discuss commercial real estate, business ownership, and making smarter investments.

From construction to automotive advertising with Lexus and other brands, Corey took what he learned in residential real estate and transitioned into commercial real estate and business brokering. His journey shows the importance of learning, adapting, and recognizing new opportunities.

Here are a few key lessons I took away from this conversation:

💰 BUY A BUSINESS, NOT ANOTHER JOB. Understand the profitability, workload, and potential before investing. Are you building an asset, or creating another job that requires 80 hours a week?

🔧 INVEST IN ESSENTIAL SERVICES. Roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pest control businesses provide services people continually need. These industries can offer strong opportunities because they rely on hands-on work that AI cannot fully replace.

📊 KNOW WHEN TO BUY. Study the market, understand the numbers, and pay attention to economic conditions before making a major investment. Having the money to buy doesn’t automatically mean it’s the right time.

🎯 KNOW YOUR END GOAL. Are you building a long-term business, creating cash flow, or planning to improve and eventually sell it? Your strategy should match your vision.

🤝 GET AROUND THE RIGHT PEOPLE. Connect with professionals who understand commercial real estate and business acquisitions so you can evaluate opportunities, recognize risks, and make informed decisions.

The goal isn’t just to own a business. It’s to build something profitable, sustainable, and aligned with the life you want to create.

📈 Interested in commercial real estate or buying a business? Connect with Corey and the McKinney Group on Instagram at @themckinneygroup to learn more about their services.

Keep learning. Keep executing. Make calculated moves. 💯

Peace, and blessings. 🙏

BEYOND THE PAYCHECK: THE HEART, THE HUSTLE & THE PASSION 🔥

🎤 Tycoon Club Interview | @cuzn.dove97

Sometimes, the best conversations happen when you least expect them. I met @cuzn.dove97 at my job, we connected through a genuine conversation, and I knew his story needed to be heard. This was also my FIRST interview where I didn’t need flashcards! 💯

Working in the medical industry is more than a paycheck. It takes compassion, patience, and a genuine heart for people. Some patients may be going through the hardest moments of their lives, and the way you treat them matters. Never let money become more important than the people you serve. ❤️

But there’s more to life than work. Through his career as an LVN and his passion for music, we discussed the importance of time management, finding something you love outside your job, and making time to actually enjoy life.

We also touched on something important: hardworking people deserve to be treated fairly, recognized for their efforts, and given opportunities to grow. No one should have to accept mistreatment in a career they care about.

And for anyone looking to enter the medical field, remember: college isn’t the only path. Explore accredited training programs and trade schools, understand the requirements for your chosen career, and find the route that works for you.

THE BIGGEST LESSONS:
❤️ Lead with compassion.
⏳ Protect your time and personal life.
💯 Speak up when people are treated unfairly.
📚 Explore different paths to your career.
🔥 Pursue your passion beyond your paycheck.

Shoutout to @cuzn.dove97 for sharing his experiences and having this important conversation with me. There’s so much we can learn from people when we take the time to listen.

Your career is part of your life, not your entire life. Make an impact at work, keep your passions alive, and never forget the human being behind the job title.

Peace, and blessings. 🙏🏽
