THE NEW ME: PURPOSE, EXECUTION & GROWTH 🔥

First, I want to thank everyone tuning into the podcast, liking, sharing, commenting, and supporting the journey. Because of you, the reach is growing beyond Sacramento into the Bay Area and throughout California. 🙏🏽

NEW CONTENT COMING SOON, so stay tuned! 🎥🔥

These interviews have taught me that EXECUTION IS EVERYTHING. When God gives you a gift, a vision, or a passion, don’t be afraid to develop it and give it to the world. Don’t let outside opinions stop you from becoming who you were created to be.

THIS IS YOUR LIFE. WRITE YOUR STORY. 📖

At 33, I’m focused on becoming a better version of myself mentally, physically, and financially. That means making better decisions, being intentional with my money, choosing who I give my time to, and sometimes creating distance from things that no longer align with my future.

I’m also learning that TIME IS THE GREATEST LUXURY WE HAVE. You can make money again, but you can never get your time back. ⏳

Special shoutout to @lacy_kayhan for reminding me that you can’t help everybody you have to learn how to help yourself first. That message really stuck with me. 🙏🏽

Shoutout to my mentors and to her husband for the wisdom shared off camera. I’m grateful for every conversation, connection, and lesson along this journey.

This is bigger than a podcast. This is growth. This is purpose. This is my journey.

I’M STILL LEARNING. I’M STILL BUILDING. I’M STILL BECOMING. 🔥🚀

Peace & blessings. ✌🏽

🎬 THE DREAM DOESN’T FIND YOU — YOU HAVE TO CREATE IT. 🔥

Just finished an incredible interview with @airricqualls, an actor and filmmaker, and this conversation really opened my eyes to the power of taking a leap of faith.

@airricqualls left his job, stepped into acting, discovered filmmaking, and started creating opportunities instead of waiting for them. 🎬

A few lessons I took from this interview:

🔥 TAKE THE LEAP OF FAITH — You never know who’s watching or where one opportunity can lead.

🔥 CREATE THE OPPORTUNITY — Don’t wait for someone to call you. Make the short film. Shoot the skit. Go to the audition. Use what you have and START.

🔥 STAY CONSISTENT — You don’t need the best camera or the biggest budget. You need the willingness to create, learn, and keep going.

🔥 SURROUND YOURSELF WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE — @airricqualls and his producing partner @11thhourcreatives are building and creating through @akfilmgroup.

He also shared how @jordanpeele , @michaelbjordan , and Ryan Coogler inspired his journey into acting and filmmaking. 🎬

Big thank you to @airricqualls for allowing me to interview you and share your story. I truly appreciate the conversation and wish you and your team continued success! 🙏🏽

🎬 For acting & filmmaking opportunities:
📲 @airricqualls
🎥 AK Film Group: @akfilmgroup
🤝 Producing Partner: @11thhourcreatives

If the opportunity doesn’t exist, CREATE IT.
Stop waiting. Start building. Your work can put you on the map. 💯

JASON HAMILTON | HAMILTON REALTY GROUP 🏡📈

One of my biggest takeaways from sitting down with @jasonhamiltonrealtor was that real estate isn’t just about selling houses it’s about helping people.

Jason shared how important it is to find a lender first, understand what you can realistically afford, and then work with a real estate professional to find a home that fits your financial situation. Just because you qualify for a $500K home doesn’t mean you should spend $500K. 🏡

We also talked about the reality of becoming a real estate agent: the money doesn’t come without the work. You have to build relationships, serve people, stay consistent, and genuinely care about helping clients make major financial decisions.

Another topic that stood out to me was house hacking using a property such as a duplex or triplex, living in one portion while renting the others, and using rental income to help offset your housing costs and potentially build toward future investments. 📈

Jason is also an avid reader and recommended Get to the No by Jim Camp and The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy two books I’m adding to my list. 📚

Big thank you to Jason for taking the time to sit down with me and share his experience both on and off camera. Wishing him, Hamilton Realty Group, and the future businesses he and his wife are building continued success as they work to help others grow financially and personally.

I hope we get to sit down again in the future. 🤝

Keep learning. Keep working. Keep helping people.

HONEY THE BARBER 💈✂️ | FLY CUTS & STYLES — SKILL, SERVICE & FAMILY 🔥

I just finished an amazing interview with @honeythebarber at @flycutsandstyles_ in Sacramento, California. Her father has owned the shop for 26 years, and they even went to barber school together! 💯

One of my biggest takeaways is that the skills you learn from school, work, or life can be applied to your business. Honey studied at Chico State University and uses those skills to connect with her clients and provide great customer service.

Another lesson: YOU HAVE TO LEVEL UP. As you improve your skills, take classes, add services, and raise your prices, you may lose some clients but the right clients will recognize your growth and stay with you. 🔥

Honey also has 95+ amazing reviews, showing how much she pours into her clients. It’s not just about a haircut or style it’s about the conversation, the experience, and the customer service. Great service builds relationships, loyalty, and a reputation.

I also love seeing Honey and her father build a family business together. Family, education, skill, and customer service can create something special. 💯

Thank you, Honey, for taking the time to sit down with me and share your story. I know you’re busy, so I truly appreciate you. And a special thank you to your father for welcoming me into Fly Cuts & Styles. Wishing you both continued success as you grow and expand! 🙏🏽🎤

Keep learning. Keep improving. Keep serving. Keep building. 🔥

PREMIER BARBER 💈 COMPANY WITH RICO 💈

I had the opportunity to interview Rico, owner of Premier Barber Company in Downtown Sacramento, and this conversation gave me a different perspective on what it really means to master your craft.

Rico learned barbering through hands-on experience, watching veteran barbers and putting in the work. He didn’t have the social media and YouTube resources we have today, but that never stopped him from learning, improving, and building a passion for the craft.

One of my biggest takeaways: MASTER YOUR CRAFT BEFORE CHASING THE MONEY. 💯

Today, we have access to YouTube, social media, and so many resources to help us learn. Take advantage of them. Learn different techniques, styles, hair textures, coloring, and services then put those skills into practice.

But skill isn’t everything. BUILD A CONNECTION WITH YOUR CLIENTS. Give them great service, make them feel valued, and give them a reason to keep coming back.

The more you learn, the more you practice, and the better you serve people, the more opportunities you create.

LEARN. PRACTICE. MASTER. SERVE. REPEAT. 💈🔥

📍 Premier Barber Company
📍 11 R Street, Downtown Sacramento, CA
📲 Book with Rico: @ricoblack_009

Thank you, Rico, for taking the time to sit down with me and allowing me to hear your story and learn from your experience. I truly appreciate the conversation both on and off camera. I’m wishing you continued success with Premier Barber Company and everything you have coming in the future. I hope we get the opportunity to sit down and interview again. 🤝🏽💈

Peace, and blessings. 🙏🏽

☕️ THE COFFEE CREW WITH CHRIS: SEE THE GAP. TAKE THE LEAP. BUILD. 🔥

I just finished interviewing Chris from The Coffee Crew Mobile Coffee, and this interview reminded me that sometimes you have to take the leap before you have all the answers.

Chris spent 17 years in construction, but his passion for coffee never left him. After working at Starbucks, he recognized a gap in the industry plenty of food trucks, but not many mobile coffee shops. Instead of just seeing the opportunity, he decided to build it. 🚐☕️

A few lessons I took from this interview:

☕️ JUST START. You won’t have everything figured out. Start, learn, adjust, and keep going.

📈 EXPECT CHALLENGES. Business will have slow days, busy days, and unexpected problems. Learn from them and keep pushing.

🤝🏽 CUSTOMER SERVICE MATTERS. Great products are important, but great customer service is what can keep people coming back.

🎯 HAVE A VISION. Know where you want your business to go and continue building toward that goal.

BIGGEST LESSON:
👉🏽 DON’T JUST SEE THE GAP — HAVE THE COURAGE TO FILL IT. 🔥

📲 FOLLOW & SUPPORT:
Instagram: @_thecoffeecrew_ ☕️🚐

🙏🏽 SHOUTOUT TO CHRIS

Chris, thank you for allowing me to interview you and for sharing your story and knowledge with me. I truly enjoyed this conversation and wish you and your business partner continued success. I hope we get to do another interview in the future!

Keep building. Keep growing. Keep serving. 💯☕️

33 YEARS BLESSED. 33 YEARS GREAT. 🥂🎂🔥

Thank you to everyone who took the time to wish me a Happy Birthday. Every message, call, and blessing meant more than you know. I truly appreciate y’all. ❤️

This birthday gave me a lot to be grateful for seeing my dream car, conducting an incredible interview, gaining new mentors, and being surprised by my mom and sister with gifts and cupcakes. I even got to enjoy some great cigars from @cigarclubsacramento @myfathercigars @sancristobalcigars in Downtown Sacramento. 🔥

But beyond the celebrations, 33 gave me something even more valuable: perspective.

I want to give a special shoutout to the new mentors I’ve gained through these interviews and to EVERYONE who has taken time out of their day to sit down with me and be a part of the @tycoonclubpodcast . Every conversation has taught me something, introduced me to a new perspective, and helped me grow. I highly appreciate every single one of you. 🤝🏽

I’ve also been reflecting on the vision I’m building.

🏗️ @smithestatesgroup — My future real estate development and construction company, focused on building quality communities, homes, and eventually larger-scale developments.

🎥 @tycoonstudioshq — My media company focused on storytelling through documentaries, interviews, photography, videography, and original content.

These are only the beginning of the vision. I have more projects and businesses I’m working on, but I’m learning that focus is everything.

And the biggest lesson I’m taking into 33:

TIME IS THE REAL LUXURY. ⏳

Cars can be bought. Jewelry can be replaced. Designer clothes go out of style.

But you never get your time back.

So I’m going into 33 with less talking, more execution. Less distraction, more discipline. And more time invested into building something that will outlive me.

Thank you to everyone supporting the Tycoon Club Podcast and following this journey.

Stay tuned. There’s a lot more coming.

33 is not the finish line.

I’M JUST GETTING STARTED. 🏆🔥

Let’s keep being great.

REAL ESTATE IS A PEOPLE’S GAME 🏡💯 | BEN KAYHAN

I just had the opportunity to interview @new.build.insiders Ben Kayhan, a real estate agent here in Sacramento, California, and this conversation was full of knowledge.

One thing I really respected about Ben is how straightforward and people-focused he is. Real estate isn’t just about selling houses it’s about understanding people, listening to their needs, communicating, and providing great customer service.

Ben also shared how he took the skills he developed from his previous career selling Porsche vehicles and brought those skills into real estate. That taught me an important lesson: don’t waste the experience you’ve already gained. Take those skills with you into your next chapter.

🏡 A FEW LESSONS I LEARNED:
• If you’re looking to buy a home, connect with a lender and a real estate agent so you can better understand your options and find a home that fits your situation.
• Don’t automatically assume you can’t afford a home. Speak with a lender and learn what options may be available to you.
• If you want to become a realtor, understand that real estate is a people’s game. Communication, relationships, customer service, and knowledge matter.
• Don’t get into the industry solely for the money. Build a passion for helping people.

And one of my favorite parts of this interview was hearing Ben say that his wife, Lacey, is his #1 fan. 🙏🏽❤️ Your spouse can be one of your greatest motivators and supporters, and I truly see that with Ben & Lacey. They’re a power couple, and I’m grateful that Lacey connected me with Ben and that I got the opportunity to connect with both of them.

Thank you, Ben & @lacy_kayhan , for the conversation and the connection. I’m looking forward to seeing what you both continue to build, and hopefully interviewing you both again in the future. Wishing you both to continued success, growth, and blessings! 🏡📈💯

TIME IS THE REAL LUXURY ⏳🔥 | REAL ESTATE WITH MARK

I had an amazing and educational conversation with @sacramento.real.estate Mark, a real estate agent here in the Sacramento, California area. His experience across multiple major industries has given him a unique perspective that he now brings into real estate, and his ambition for business and life really stood out to me.

Here are some lessons I took from this interview:

⏳ CHERISH YOUR TIME — Time is the one thing we can’t get back. Don’t take tomorrow for granted. Go after your goals, enjoy life, and make the most of the time you have.

📲 MARKETING & BRANDING MATTERS — You have to put yourself out there. People need to know who you are and what you represent. In today’s world, building your personal brand is more important than ever.

🤝 NETWORKING + WORK ETHIC — Networking can open doors, but you still have to walk through them and do the work. Every day is a new opportunity to serve another client and continue building.

💰 DON’T CHASE THE MONEY — Do what you’re passionate about. When you love what you do, stay driven, and provide great customer service, the money can follow the value you create.

Big thank you to Mark for taking time out of his busy schedule to sit down with me, and for wishing me a happy birthday! I truly appreciate the conversation and the knowledge you shared. 🙏🏽

Wishing you nothing but success on your real estate journey and with all the new content you have coming. I’ll definitely be watching, and I hope we get to sit down for another interview soon!

Keep working. Keep learning. Cherish your time. And go after what you love. 💯

MASTER THE CRAFT. BUILD THE BRAND. 💈🔥

I had an incredible interview with Thomas, a high-end barber here in Sacramento, and his story reminded me that sometimes your passion can start from something as simple as being told to cut your brother’s hair.

Thomas found his passion for barbering and ran with it no Plan B, no distractions. He took the apprentice route, stayed locked in even when the journey took time, and continues to be a student of the craft.

A few lessons I took away:

💈 NETWORKING MATTERS — Who you connect with can open doors and help you grow.

📚 STAY A STUDENT — Keep learning new techniques, styles, and the business side of barbering.

🤝 MENTORSHIP CAN SAVE YOU TIME — Learn from people who have already walked the path.

🎯 DON’T JUST TAKE UP SPACE — Enter the industry with goals, purpose, and a willingness to grow.

🏆 BARBERING CAN BE A CAREER — You can build a life, a business, and a personal brand around your craft when you take it seriously.

A special thank you to Thomas for allowing me to tell a piece of his story, and congratulations on becoming sponsored by @andisclippers ! That’s a major accomplishment. 💯

I’m wishing you nothing but success with your goals of educating others and building your barber program to teach the youth and future barbers. I’d definitely love to connect again for another interview!

Keep learning. Keep improving. Master your craft. 🔥

🎯 STAY TEACHABLE. KEEP GROWING. PLAY THE LONG GAME.

I recently had the opportunity to interview @_barberboy , a young barber who has been cutting hair since he was 14 years old. Someone recommended me to interview him, but after our conversation, I realized I was the one walking away with lessons.

One thing that stood out to me was his willingness to keep learning.

Sometimes people become good at their craft and feel like they have nothing left to learn. Omar has a different mindset. He understands that growth doesn’t stop once you become good at something.

Here are a few lessons I took from this interview:

1️⃣ MENTORSHIP MATTERS.
Having someone who inspires you, motivates you, and guides you can help you avoid unnecessary mistakes and keep moving forward. Shoutout to Johnny, who Omar looks up to as a mentor and the owner of the barber studio.

2️⃣ GROWTH TAKES TIME.
You can quit quickly, but you can also grow tremendously by simply staying committed. Whether you’re learning barbering or building any career, give yourself time to develop your skills.

3️⃣ PASSION REQUIRES PATIENCE.
Omar found barbering at 14 and has continued building his craft into his twenties. When you find something you’re passionate about, you have to be willing to play the long game.

4️⃣ STAY TEACHABLE.
One of the most valuable things you can do is remain willing to learn—even when you’ve already become good at what you do.

I also want to give Omar a major shoutout for allowing me to tell his story. I wish him nothing but success as he continues growing in barbering and works toward becoming an educator in the industry, creating a space where others can learn from the skills and experience he has developed.

And a special shoutout to @johnny.thebarber for being a mentor and positive influence in Omar’s journey, and for allowing me to use the shop to conduct this interview. I appreciate the opportunity, and I look forward to interviewing you both again in the future.

The lesson: You don’t have to know everything. You just have to be willing to keep learning.

Keep learning. Keep working. Keep growing. Play the long game.
