Join Ulises on May 14th from 6-9pm for the launch of Filed Away, a collaborative publication organized by the Tyler Printmaking MFA program @tyler_printmaking

Filed Away explores the collections we keep and interrogates the collections kept about us. The handmade volume features the work of twenty-two artists from around the country and includes screen printing and risograph and a unique double spiral bound spine.

Take a @heartattackmanofficial lyric and make it ✨artsy✨
All of us print grads made handmade paper earlier in the semester and then printed letterpress designs on them for a lil print exchange (I carved the tiny dandelions)
With the extra paper, I printed 3 more white and 11 more green at a slightly different size and with some hand coloring so if anybody wants to buy one send me a DM!

Hand of Mind - BA in Art Therapy Thesis Exhibition

Tyler School of Art and Architecture Atrium

Life feels like a dance between the past and future; difficult to stand grounded in the present. Craft has brought me back to the now and my physical body for as long as I can remember. Learning art therapy processes has solidified the importance of creating with my hands; bringing ideas to life that are alive in my imagination. The desire to see and feel the intangible right in front of me is ever-growing.

This show displays my exploration of the creative process through themes of water, light, and material; all elements that drive me forward and keep me grounded.

Thank you for all the love and support! I’m constantly motivated by the potential to grow and learn, which I couldn’t do without the people in my life.

Call and Response: Student work from the Tyler School of Art in response to Free Library collections

Join us 5:30-7:30pm THURSDAY December 18th in the Art Department hall gallery on Parkway Central Library's 2nd floor for a reception with the artists and a walk-through starting at 6:00pm.

The exhibition will remain on view through January 30th and can be seen anytime the library is open.

Undergraduate students from the Book Structures course at Tyler School of Art present recent artists’ books, each made in response to an item from the Free Library’s collection. Generating both traditional structures and more experimental forms, the artists worked with instructor Katie Garth to explore topics including diasporic identity, built environments, and subversive histories:
