POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The District is a bestseller! ✨✨✨In my mind, I had big ideas of animating this with a red squiggly line under my book and @tylerbperry and @authordanagoldstein books. All three of us made the list! But the reality is I'm posting this in the parking lot of school before heading to the post office to mail copies of The District before heading home to kids / writing group/ so much marking. 😅😭😅

So please just pretend there's a red animated squiggly line. Yay! ♥️

The teachers were dismissed and forced back to work by legislature. Spread the word. Fight for your teachers.

A big gratitude to @evan.for.alberta, who is leading the youth movement.

2024 Bible Reading Plan
Leviticus 1- Leviticus 27
Numbers 1-Numbers 8

Jesus said,
"LET THE CHILDREN
COME TO ME"
Jesus ❤️ Loves Little Children

🙏🏼Prayer Verse:Mathew 19:14
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” - Matthew 19:14 (NKJV)

READ Mathew 19:13-15
Mark 10: 13-15;Luke 9:47-46

Let's Pray!
Our dear Heavenly Father, we lift up all children in the world before You.
We thank You for entrusting to us such a treasure and a precious gift of life.
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. - Psalm 127:3
Help us to be Godly parents who will love our children, teach them to pray 🙏and bring them to Christ Jesus.
Jesus ❤️ loves little children and want them to come to Him.
He placed His hands on them, prayed and blessed them. - Mathew 19:13
May You keep children away from every hurt, abuse, the evils in this world and bad influences that will corrupt their precious minds.
We ask You to place your Angels around all children in this world.
May Your Angels be the armor of protection for our children against any accidents, to guide, shield and help them to make the right choices.
Let us not despise these little ones. For in heaven their Angels always see the face of God who is in heaven. - Mathew 18:10
We pray healing, for sick children, those with special needs, orphans and the homeless.
We ask Your provision for hungry children in drought stricken countries, without food, water and basic necessities.
Let the Holy Spirit guide us to train our children the way they should go, so that when they are old they will not depart from it. - Proverbs 22:6
Change rebellious children, help them to obey their parents and to honor their father and mother in the Lord. - Ephesians 6:1-2
May we help children to come to Jesus but not to forbid them for such belongs the kingdom of God. - Matthew 19:14
We ask all these favors in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. --- WPTH01FB24

Oh, My Laureate Life…

Good Morning and Happy Black History Month…

This is beyond unbelievable…

I am about to deliver a Poetic Presentation to my largest audience ever, in my now 25-year career.

I’m broadcasting from my basement in my very own ZoomBooth.

There are over 6000 students in over 100 Schools in the CCSD, all right here.

That doesn’t include staff, parents, and guardians…

This is to date, my greatest reach.

Thank You Matt Sauer, for showing this kind of faith - in my bringing Younger Generations to The Power of Poetry, and the Art of Spoken Word.

Blog on wakefieldbrewster.com, soon to follow…

Thank You, Brother Matt.
Thank You, CCSD.
Thank You, Calgary.

Thank You, All…

POETRY IN VOICE

This has been a single-greatest instructing experience of a lifetime.

These next generations of Spoken Word Artists have all that it takes to be champions and remain champions.

They’re all, already, Champions.

I believe that I write Poetry about The People, for The People, and it is especially The People that never remain the same.

With that premise always being in mind, I attempt to write Change Into The World - and I have been gifted with opportunities to assist others in doing so.

Such was the exchange at the Central Calgary Public Library, aptly during National Poetry Month, with Youth from across the country.

Sarah Tsiang and Tessa Griffin; I cannot fathom the tremendous undertakings that you have endeavoured to make this the one-of-a-kind, life-changing event come to pass, for so many, ins so many ways, on so many levels.

You are champions of Youth Development, The Arts, Education, and Social Change.
I am humbled that you’d ask me to bring my PiPP on JEDI/AI to mentor these Poets.

To All involved in the wonderful Literacy & Artistry Advocate that is Poetry In Voice, Thank You and Merci.

WarmestRegards,

~W🧙🏾‍♂️🎙️
