Apparently making an EP requires equal parts music, friendship, patience, and feeding everyone.

I started working on this project last year, and between life, schedules, and spending a good chunk of that time without a car, it became pretty difficult to keep everything moving. So it feels really good to finally be back at it.

Over these last few studio days we’ve finished lead vocals, bass, and drums (with a few more sessions still ahead before this thing is ready to leave the nest). I’m incredibly grateful to Ryan for not only playing drums and helping produce this project (bringing it all to life), but apparently being willing to dismantle and reassemble an entire studio in the process. 😂 And so grateful to Corbin for coming back to finish tracking bass, Greg for laying down drums, and all the friends lending their time, ears, musicianship, and support to this project.

My contribution aside from writing the tunes has included: singing, co-producing, and operating a small catering company out of Ryan’s house.

Baked ziti. Mediterranean marinated chicken. Turmeric jasmine rice. Penne alla vodka with sausage. Mediterranean chicken bowls. Nobody is leaving these sessions hungry.

Still plenty more to do, but after having to put this project on the back burner for a while, I’m just really grateful to be making music with people I love again, and getting closer to finally sharing it. ❤️🎶

PS. Shout out to Shrimp, the cat, for being our HYPER-allergenic moral booster. You make me sneeze, but you’re one cool cat 🤙🏼
