Mama’s kept this under wraps since March, but now since the magazine’s out, she can finally share! Last year, Mama’s friends Angie and Bettina left corporate America and began their own, Northern Virginia-based, online boutique wedding and lifestyle magazine called The Ampersand, and Mama joined the team early this year as a content creator. The Fall/Winter issue was released last week and has a theme of gothic love. Back in March, the team along with select vendors gathered at @rustmanorhouse for the cover shoot, and one of those vendors was Joseph Jablonski of With Ink @typewriterpoets. How it works: give the poets at With Ink a topic and they will write an on-the-spot poem about that topic. So who did Mama pick as her topic? Me, of course…duh! Isn’t the poem Joseph wrote so beautiful? Mama and I sure think so! 📝🖤💜 Go follow @theampmag for more creative and out of the box wedding ideas and lifestyle content! #theampersandmagazine #withinktypewriterpoetry #gilbertthecutestpug

A couple weeks ago at The Scout Guide Roanoke Volume 3 Launch Party, one of the party favors was having a personalized poem written on the spot… and he absolutely nailed it 😂 Swipe to read the poem ➡️ So I guess it’s time to make it business-page official — Baby Boy #2 is coming January 2027! 💙🌈 And just like the poem says, my books are officially CLOSED to new clients! I’m so grateful to have a full client list as we get ready to add another little boy to our family. Existing clients, don’t fret — Back Porch Accounting isn’t going anywhere! I’ll still be working, just potentially with a baby in my arms. 😂👶🏼💻 Turns out maternity leave looks a little different when you own the business. 🤪

The date that altered history: June 17, 1972. 🕵️ This Wednesday, on the 54th anniversary of the infamous Watergate break-in, guests are invited to step into a newsroom-inspired lobby experience with our very own Typewriter Poet @typewriterpoets No more cover-ups — choose a codeword rooted in secrets, scandal, or history, and receive a bespoke “secret message” typed on the spot and sealed in a “Top Secret” envelope. Also join us for a scandalous Happy Hour @kingbird_restaurant featuring The Smoking Gun, a smoky scotch cocktail with spice, citrus, and an air of mystery. I love how every wedding vendor brings their own art to the day. Natalie and Chris had a poet on a typewriter creating custom poems for their guests and it made for such a fun keepsake to take home 💌 Content Creator @maidofcontent (Katie) Poet @typewriterpoets Coordinator @beyondblissful_events Photographer @hannahsnyderweddings Venue @anthonywaynehouseweddings Band @bachelorboysband Hair & Makeup @somethingyoubeauty Florist @rubyriversfloral Photo Booth @armani_entertainment_official #cocktailhour #wedding #poet #typewriter #weddinginspo #weddingcontentcreator #weddingideas #weddingvendor #phillybride

I woke up Thursday morning and my eyes were swollen shut due to allergies and I was actually in bed for most of the day!!! Thankfully i didnt hv to take the stage until after 8pm that night and by then my eyes had calmed down. I had such a great time featuring at #wineandwords last night, along with Shawn Barker and Greylan Counts! I also want thank Dion Brooks for having all of us feature! Also sending a special shoutout to all the poets who accepted my invitation to come out and enjoy, support and hit the open mic Shane Manier and Witz DaWittie (but there were so many more poets that pulled up that arnt included in my cameraphone video, unfortunately. I also want to shout out my guest that bought tickets and or made it thru #PaulaAnderson, Tajmah Allison, David Burch, Sherrida Smith & her cousin, Martingly Nelson , #Brent&(Lisa an awesome poet in her on right , @apexrecording along with his crew! As well as the always stellar videographer Kendrick James. And oh lord I’m sure im leaving off at least one person’s name so please everyone blame it on my head and not my heart!!
