POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Mama’s kept this under wraps since March, but now since the magazine’s out, she can finally share!

Last year, Mama’s friends Angie and Bettina left corporate America and began their own, Northern Virginia-based, online boutique wedding and lifestyle magazine called The Ampersand, and Mama joined the team early this year as a content creator. The Fall/Winter issue was released last week and has a theme of gothic love. Back in March, the team along with select vendors gathered at @rustmanorhouse for the cover shoot, and one of those vendors was Joseph Jablonski of With Ink @typewriterpoets.

How it works: give the poets at With Ink a topic and they will write an on-the-spot poem about that topic. So who did Mama pick as her topic? Me, of course…duh! Isn’t the poem Joseph wrote so beautiful? Mama and I sure think so! 📝🖤💜

Go follow @theampmag for more creative and out of the box wedding ideas and lifestyle content!

With Ink is expanding! Over the past several months you may have seen Pierce D. Logan of @livetypewriterpoet at some of our events - he recently joined as our fourth With Ink poet!

Bringing a decade of experience in poetry, he is local to New Jersey and the Tri-State, and even support With Ink's first type-in themed event - which is fitting because @walkingmallpoet and he teamed up long ago was a joint type-in at the Hoboken Historical Museum (swipe to see one of my film photos from that day!) He's also handy with wax sealing his poems, helping craft bespoke books of poems for the events he has supported, and all-around an incredibly skilled wordsmith.

His full bio:
"Pierce Logan is a published poet and former school teacher. His work is largely influenced by philosophy, classical literature, and popular culture. His typewriter poetry tends to be free form and highly descriptive, even transcendental. Some favorite poets include Dylan Thomas, especially his famous villanelle “Do not go gentle into that good night”, Everette Maddox, and Yevgeny Yevtushenko."

If you want Pierce to create at your event, reach out at typewriterpoets.com! And if you are an experience poet looking to join our growing agency, drop us a line! #typewriterpoetry

Announcing New Ownership for With Ink: Typewriter Poetry!

A little over a year ago, ownership of our typewriter poets agency transferred from Jeff Stanford, already-successful Irish poet @typewriterpoetry.ie to Joseph M. Jablonski, Shenandoah-valley-based typist@walkingmallpoet . Quietly, as Joseph took the helm, With Ink improved behind the scenes on the already amazing work Jeff had done across a decade to create a professional boutique arts agency, streamlining our event planning and execution.

Now we are excited to do so much more.

Welcome to With Ink: Globally Renowned, Locally Found. From downtown streets to your special events to international destinations, we are ready to write for you.

Typewriter poetry is about to have its moment. Our attention to detail makes us the best choice for your next event, and our current poets, with years of professionalism and experience, have typewriter and are willing to travel wherever you need on-the-spot verse.

Keep an eye here for what is coming next. Here's to the future of typewriter poetry everywhere.

I love how every wedding vendor brings their own art to the day. Natalie and Chris had a poet on a typewriter creating custom poems for their guests and it made for such a fun keepsake to take home 💌

We had a wonderful time at James and Allura's beautiful Alexandria wedding earlier this summer! Joseph typed away for guests during the cocktail hour, bringing a special buzz to the afternoon, which was already brimming with joy.
