POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m excited to announce that Don’t Wake Me Up is an official selection for the 2026 Cinema Columbus Film Festival! After 8 festival selections, my directorial debut is coming HOME to be screened in the city that raised me 🥹 and we’re also nominated for Best Narrative Short! 🎉

I wrote Don’t Wake Me Up as a love letter to film, timing and missed destiny. I’m proud of the beauty we made and the way it has resonated with festival audiences worldwide. So thankful for every cast & crew member that came alongside this vision but especially my brother @drcharlesopong who wouldn’t let me quit or give up, even when I desperately wanted to.

To my Columbus family, friends, and anyone who’s ever supported me from home, I would absolutely love to see you there. It would mean so much to share this moment with you.

Thirty premiered in LA last night & I’m still on a cloud. I feel so full, so honored & so proud of my friends who just so happen to be visionaries. God really has a way of redirecting us back to dreams we thought we buried 🥹😮‍💨

@simply.creatiff & @toyingiwa — Thank y’all for seeing me & trusting me with this. For opening the door for me to step back into a love for this aspect of acting that I walked away from. Beyond what I’m able to formulate with words rn, I pray y’all hear my heart.

To everyone involved - I love y’all deep 🤎

Life is for living✨ My best friend passed away during my freshman year of college. I’m just giving context, not looking for pity. We were so passionate about our faith that we wanted to become missionary pastors and travel the world telling everyone about Jesus. Ever since his passing, I’ve kind of been winging it. My faith has evolved and gone through SO MANY iterations but I still have a heart for encouraging ppl to love, see and achieve their highest potentials. There were definitely lonely times as an only child while I was finding myself and my tribe, but they don’t compare to joy I experience now with my new family. One of my chosen sisters, @tyrawithers, has no idea how instrumental she has been to my growth, maturity, and confidence! [AND she’s a bomb photographer herself!] I love her to the moon 🌙 Here is some bts of our spontaneous road trip editorial! #art #brotherhood #sisterhood #photography

Post Script: this audio is by Jim Rohn, an inspiring author and speaker I would listen to while not doing my homework back at Ohio State. Full circle.

I got a big caption I wanted to type out about this being this mark or the start of nofun but I got some footage from these shoots I wanna share next. This body of work means so much to me, it’s been hard to part ways with it. To just put it out and not have everybody in the world see it. But DUMBLUCK is live on YouTube. Shot by @zoodeville this is actually the first thing we worked on and it was some wild shit in the alley behind my house (I did all of these videos at/near my @12fortyfive ) and the whole gang came thru. I gotta say this is emotional for me. Coming up on our @nofunla anniversary, it’s really hittin me that we fucking put this shit in motion on this day! Love you gang. GO PEEP THE VIDEO!!!!! 😈😈😈😈

Introducing a new segment:
TY’s TESTIMONIES 🌱
Ft. ( @reemawrld ). Ameer has been around since the beginning of Touched By Ty. In the beginning, I was doing house calls from left to right. Toting a chair, Bonnet hair dryer, and a travel hair case in and out of my car. That right there is a lot of labor on one person. Especially in an unknown area. He’s been a supporter every since. I’m forever grateful for him. He became more than a client to me, we’re family! Thank you so much for everything.

What does having locs mean to me? 🌱💌

Having locs means having your own identity within a community that identifies closely and naturally. We are all a part of something greater. We’ve already changed how they’ve viewed us in so many ways by staying loc’d in. We are all connected in a way. When it comes to having locs people tend to choose two routes:
1. Loc for the journey.
2. Loc for the look.
I sat under number two and I have my reasons. But this is why I removed my locs for the third time. This next time around I’m loc’n my hair for the journey. Nothing added on nothing, altered or fixed. Just my Locs and me. I can’t wait to feel them again ❤️.

Loc in with pure intentions, loc in with pure people, loc in with L O V E 🌱

Thank you so much @reemawrld , @aminahyasmin_ & @meeks.media for coming together and making this vision come to light. I’m proud of how it all turned out 🤞🏾💌🥹.
