🥼💗 The future of pharmacy starts now!

Congratulations to the 21 outstanding student pharmacist recipients of the 2026 CVS Health Foundation/AACP Community Pharmacy Award! Each will receive a $20,000 scholarship to help support their journey toward a Pharm.D. degree and future caring for their communities.

“It’s critical that we support student pharmacists today, giving them the opportunities and resources they need to succeed," said Lucille Accetta, Senior Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer, @cvshealth.

"[That way,] we can help build a strong pharmacy workforce for the future and help ensure communities continue to benefit from the knowledge, care and trusted support pharmacists provide."

This August, we had the chance to host two school & sports physical days! We had one at Buffalo Museum of Science 🏛️ on August 8th and another at Seneca Babcock Community Center 🤍 on August 22nd.

Between both events, we were able to provide 96 FREE physicals to students getting ready for the new school year! 🥳

These events were made possible through an amazing collaboration with the Lighthouse Free Medical Clinic, the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, UB Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, UB School of Dental Medicine, and UB School of Public Health and Health Professions!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, and helped make these events such a success! 💙 We're so happy we could bring healthcare into the community and help students get ready for a healthy school year!

Our students had an opportunity to work alongside UB medical, dental, and pharmacy students while giving back to our community this summer. Together with Lighthouse Free Medical Clinic, we provided free school and sports physicals to 100 community members in just two days!

In addition to the free physicals, we also educated community members about hands-only CPR, dental health, medications, asthma, and allergies.

Collaborating with students from different health care specialties is a valuable way to strengthen our students’ clinical skills and practice working with a team. Great job to all!
