Kezia Alyssa and Mimi Korompis share roots in classical ballet, from which each has grown into her own contemporary practice. In Telusur Sulur, those two paths meet, responding, resisting, and negotiating with one another. We are very glad to welcome them to Satyanara’s upcoming Opening Weekend with this choreography, created for Ubud Art Ground 2026 in response to Hendro Wiyanto’s Letters to Colour @ubudartground

Early bird tickets are now available at satyanara.com. Use code SATYA10 when booking, and see the full Opening Weekend rundown on our website.

Coming soon: A special performance by I Nyoman Erawan at the Grand Opening Vernissage of Satyanara, 22 October 2026. Eskatologi Matra brings installation and performance together as a single art ritual, where the colours of the pangider bhuwana turn toward pralaya, the dissolution that marks time itself.

Book Review Series: ‘Balinese Art’ by Adrian Vickers

Introducing our new series, where we explore books that deepen our understanding of Bali’s creative world.

We begin with ‘Balinese Art’ by Adrian Vickers — a thoughtful journey through the island’s artistic evolution, from sacred temple paintings to contemporary expression. Vickers traces how spirituality, history, and cultural exchange have shaped Bali’s visual identity over time.

A must-read for anyone who wants to see beyond the surface of beauty and understand the stories behind it.
