INVOLVEMENT SPOTLIGHT: Relay for Life 🎗️

We are both so excited to serve on Relay for Life Committee this year! I, Layla, served on committee last year and it was so beautiful being a part of something so much bigger than myself. Raising money for the American Cancer Society alongside my classmates and friends was so special and I cannot wait to make another impact with them this year.

The American Cancer Society not only raises funds for cancer research but also patient counseling, lodging, and transportation. Supporting ACS means supporting all aspects of those affected with cancer. If you are looking for a way to get involved with the cause, come out and support our Relay for Life event on April 3rd, 2027!

I got to take the UCA Relay for Life Executive Board photos this year and I am absolutely over the moon about it!! This organization is so special to me, I couldn’t even put it into words! We had so much fun taking these and I hope you like them!😆

I spent one year on committee and served 2 years on the executive board and it was the highlight of my UCA experience - giving me the opportunity to build special friendships and grow personally in a way that nothing else in my life had before. This is where I cemented my passion for non-profit work, which is what I’m pursuing now after UCA!

This group will do incredible things and I’m so happy they asked me to be a small part of the beginning of this journey! 💜🎗️

We’re incredibly proud to support our national philanthropy, the Starkey Hearing Foundation. These girls show that generosity in Delta Zeta goes far beyond philanthropy. It’s found in the time we give, the passions we pursue, the causes we support, and the people we show up for.

From mission trips and service projects to supporting other RSOs on campus and making our own ideas come to life, we believe there’s always a way to make an impact. Whatever you’re passionate about, we’ll find a way to make room for it. 💗

What an honor & privilege it has been to pour into this organization for the last three years! I can’t believe yesterday was my last Relay as a UCA student! It was such a special day & I am so proud of the work our executive board and committee put in this year!

Today on campus we came together for Relay for Life to fight for something bigger than ourselves. Every step and every dollar raised supports the incredible work of the American Cancer Society. Because of their commitment to funding cancer research, breakthroughs are happening every day—bringing us closer and closer to a tomorrow with a cure.

You can support the cause by joining our team, making a donation, or attending the event to help raise awareness and funds for cancer research.

There is also an opportunity to purchase a Luminaria in honor of a loved one who has passed, someone currently battling cancer, or a survivor.
