🌈💚 A look back at Pride in Our Community!

We loved bringing our community together for this free family-friendly event filled with connection, support, and fun for all ages. From community resources and LGBTQ+ youth & parent support to crafts, activities, and opportunities to connect, it was a wonderful day celebrating belonging and inclusivity. 🏳️‍🌈✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event so special! We’re proud to create spaces where everyone can feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated.

You are loved, you belong, and there will always be a place for you in our community. 💚🏳️‍🌈

Are you handy? We need volunteers for our next Repair Café in Irvine!
Help repair bikes, small appliances, clothing, jewelry, sharpen knives, and more while keeping items out of the landfill. No repair experience? No problem! Help with event tasks or shadow an experienced volunteer. Every helping hand makes a difference!

You can also bring an item for repair in one of the categories above. We’ve added garden tool sharpening thanks to volunteers from @ucmastergardeners

Sign up at the link in our bio or at CoolOC.org/events volunteer or bring an item for repair

Happy Pride Month, Irvine! 🏳️‍🌈

As a lifelong ally to the LGBTQ+ Community, I was honored to stand with the community on Harvey Milk Day (May 22) to raise the Pride Flag at Irvine City Hall for Pride Month. In an increasingly divided world, Pride Month serves as an important reminder for everyone to live by compassion and love in our community.

When serving in the federal government, I also had the honor of raising the Pride Flag at our Regional Headquarters in San Francisco. It was a joy to look back at some of those memories!

I look forward to remaining an ally and champion for our LGBTQ+ community on Irvine's City Council and ensuring that especially LGBTQ+ families and youth have access to the security and freedoms that all Irvine residents deserve.
