"It's really simple - making makes me happy. It doesn't matter what I make so much as that I am creating things with my hands. Exploring new materials and ideas scratches an invisible itch and gives me joy. If someone can use what I make in a functional way, it's just that much better."

This is one of my top five favorite lamps we’ve ever made, and I’ll miss seeing it around the studio. It definitely skews more towards the midmod side of things with a longer walnut neck than usual, the textured boucle shade, and that sage green glaze. Now it’s graduated on to a new life in Wisconsin with @ksmithxdesign - I can’t imagine a nicer place to go!

I thought it would be fun to show you the process of making these @ud.form collaboration centerpieces. Made with eucalyptus, sweet annie and griveallea... They smell amazing.

The best part is that when you are done with your centerpieces, you can compost it or toss it in your green bin!!! No more feeling guilty about throwing it away.

{hkns} Realized I never shared the lamps we designed and made. Every piece was custom and made to fit the vision I had for these pieces. Swipe for bonus “helper” cameo 🙈

Did you know?

“Pothos” translates to “longing” or “yearning” in Greek.

In Greek mythology, Pothos is a deity known as one of the love Gods.

So with pothos plants displaying heart-shaped leaves, I think it’s symbolic and befitting for those of us yearning to grow through what we go through.

Because we too, can grow to love, so long as we continue to nourish a healthy desire. 🌱☀️💓

P.S. Shoutout to Uncle Don for letting me adopt this plant, Mom for the soil, and @lebanh.patisserie for the watering can!

This space is filling up with the best kinds of love :) 🪷

These pieces can take so much time and effort for Brett and me to bring to life. But, when they find a perfect spot in someone’s home there’s no better feeling. This lamp design is one of my favorites from this past winter, and now it lives in the mountains of Colorado.

One of the major takeaways from having the popup store, was that people are often looking for a lamp to fit in a smaller place. Something with a tighter footprint. This was one of the first tries at something a little more compact, and stay tuned for a lot more coming soon!
