May is not over yet, and we almost lost track of all the crazy achievements made by the team during the month!
It all started with @margauxbouyssonie and @julie_cnt , who casually decided to give a go to the HK Trail, first time +40km for @julie_cnt - they definitely nailed it with the support of all the team!
Few weeks after, it was @rudy.bottin and @paul_fournier1 who went for a #RoundTheIsland, still for fun, but ran at a super decent pace over the 55km.
And while all these challenges brought people together, we shouldn't forget that we have fierce competitors among our members.
@gllmegram took the 1st runner-up for the @trail_noble_contree in Switzerland, while @veronka_running won the @actionasiaevents last weekend, crossing the finish line with @matuglow , positioning them 3rd ex-aequo at the scratch! @antoine_in_hk took part of the party as well and reached the top 15!

Hats off to all the team, and keep pushing hard and smiling at the same time !

Uglow Team in da house !
#CBRE #lantau2peaks last Sunday saw our fellow teammates crushing the race !
@paul_fournier1 and @veronka_running came respectively 1st and 2nd overall of the 22k race, proving (if anyone still had some doubts about it) that they were among the top trail runners of the city! 🤯

@julie_cnt in the 15k race came in the top 10 of her category as well !🥳

It was the hottest ever #lantau2peaks, and it did not help @gllmegram and our new teammate @salomonwettstein who both have to drop out unfortunately 😢

Anyway, it was a dream start for this season with dramas, fights and amazing efforts, we couldn't be prouder of our champ' and we are definitely super excited for the next races coming !!

We couldn't find a better proof that things are getting better in Hong Kong and that our teammates are in great shape by looking back at what happened over the two last weekends!

10 days ago, @veronka_running , @matuglow, @gllmegram and @k.oulibaly took the start of the virtual @the9dragonsultra 50k!

Great race, and above anything, awesome time from @veronka_running who established a new woman race record in 7h30! Nice performance from @gllmegram who got the 2nd best time of this edition!

Only a week later happened the first official race since ages ago organized by @actionasiaevents ! @elsa_jeandedieu and @gllmegram gave it a go! 25k without CPs, the challenge was interesting! @gllmegram took the win in 2h13, Elsa step onto the podium, finishing third!

Family members were there to cheer them at the finish line as for once they didn't have to do any support during the race 🙈😅

This May at Bear's Ears 50k @madmoose.events, I blew my race by not bringing enough @spring_energy. Both at Bear's Ears & Tushar's 100k @aravaiparunning I didn't make it to the start line when the gun went off. I took a wrong turn at Tushar's because I don't study course maps.
I'm not great at organization & advanced planning. I "fly by the seat of my pants". I'm a last minute kind of guy & I'm often a little (or maybe a lot) late.
I'd like to say I'm getting better at this, but it's not always the truth.
Last Monday I found out @spartantrailworldchamp Kodiak 100m was canceled, Tuesday I was signed up for IMTUF 100m in Idaho happening that Saturday. Not a problem for ME! 🙂🦄
I found crew @dmango5 (THANK YOU) the day before the race.

With all this said, I'm not totally "stupid". I know what works & I'm one of the most competitive people I know. I take my training & gear super seriously.
As you can see in these images, I use a lot of gear for mountainous 100 mile races. I know what works for me & I've been in the sport long enough to know what gear works the best.
I want to pass on some wisdom with regards to gear because I believe people out there will appreciate it. Yes, these brands pay me or give me product, but I stand behind all of the product. I'm willing to answer any questions about gear.

ATG is the first group in Asia promoting gender equality and women empowerment through running. I have been living and competing in Hong Kong for over 12 years now and when I heard about the creation of this group I just immediately fell in love with the idea and really thought I could do my part! I do believe that “Individually we are one drop, together we are an ocean”.

👉🏼 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗧𝗚?
The new ATG challenge is coming in a very sensitive, unstable and unpredictable period and will most probably spread positive vibes to all of us. It will definitely help us to forget from time to time about this reality and also it is going to be a wonderful way to encourage more people to challenge themselves.
