We had an amazing summer at Frogman’s this year! Im so happy to meet some amazing new artists this year and reconnecting with old friends! Huge shout out to the amazing faculty we had this year and a bigger thanks to the wonderful assistance that made my first year as Coordinator run smoothly. Thank you @frogmansprintworkshops for putting on a wonderful workshop and thank you @terryjamesconrad and @uiowaprint for hosting us at the university. All good things must come to an end and this is just goodbye until next year!

Second photo dump from Frogman’s Printmaking Workshops last week, teaching screenprint at the University if Iowa. I got a chance to share prints and do lots of demos, including my favorite wacky balloon transfer printing. Thanks to @aunna_escobedo for the photos!

I had an inspiring week teaching screenprint at Frogman’s Print Workshops at the University of Iowa. The students made great prints, faculty gave great talks, and friendships blossomed over karaoke, conversations, and costumed bowling. This was my first time attending, and I recommend the experience for anyone wanting the printmaking summer camp experience. Also, apparently I set a bad example, as many students ended up climbing on top of printing tables to create reductions!

Frogman’s Printmaking Workshops 2026! 🐸

Spent last week learning tonal intaglio techniques from @marco.hernandez1988 and got to see so many familiar and friendly faces. So much to learn and do in copper!💥💥big thanks to @weszakk for all the pics and for coordinating #frogmans2026

This summer my two most recent bodies of work “Chronic Uncertainty” and “This doesn’t make any sense…” are being shown at the University of Iowa hospital in coordination with this year’s Frogman’s Printmaking Workshops.

While commenting on broader issues of uncertainty, these prints are very much informed by recent personal experiences. Because of this, showing this work in a university hospital system seems very fitting.

Big thank you to @noodleskangprints for the photos, @frogmansprintworkshops and @uihealthcare_projectart for the opportunity to share this work.

a collection of images from my thesis exhibition, "Rough work, soft touch" in the Ana Mendieta Gallery this spring. It's been roughly a month and a half since deinstall and it feels so great to be on the other side.

The last lines of my thesis paper read:
"
1. Make a wrong angle.
2. Trace a desire.
3. Draw a line that surrounds our bodies and makes us feel whole.

Inside this silhouette, I will do, undo, and make-do."

I'm feeling whole and making-do. I have been endlessly fulfilled by this experience and have grown so much in the process. I wouldn't trade this time or this community for anything. 🫶
