Avebury, more than 4000 years on this Earth... We exist beyond this body, through the ages we have been expressing our souls calling and journeying through this physical form to the next to realise our inner yearnings. Spaces like this at Avebury remind us that our lives are not linear... that there is more to this existence than what the eyes can see and to what most of us have dared to imagine. Spending moments in spaces like Avebury is like stepping into soul time... if you quieten down enough you may just hear the whispers of your soul. •

Be gentle. Treat yourself gently. We are all going through extreme changes in this life... living at such a rapid pace, constant stimuli, affording less and less time to switch off. What you are living is real, so make sure you are allowing yourself to take time. To sit, to breath, to clear your mind and step into your intuition. Breath work is a big part of my practice. I have suffered with extreme cases of anxiety in the past and sometimes it comes creeping back in when doubts and negative forces arise. Sometimes it feels hard to breath... so I treat myself gently, I am kind to my spirit. I stop, I breath and I listen. There is no need to react nor transmute immediately... it is a process, it is a journey. #breathe #listentoyourbody #taketime

I often have talks with my nearest and dearest about spirituality and what it means to live life more in tune with who I am as an individual... I could speak for hours on these topics as they are indeed some of my most favourite subjects to discuss. Someone asked me recently if I could sum it up in one sentence what spirituality means to me and I responded with some wise words I had heard many years ago, from where I can not remember, but those words have stayed with me ever since .... “spirituality is authenticity in action”. It is not always easy to know what we consider to be authentically us as an individual living in this fast paced, hyper connected world, but I do know one thing for sure. When we slow down, listen, sit still in silence and are truly present we will find ourselves somewhat closer to the finding and understanding that authenticity.

“We carry inside us the wonders we seek outside us” - Rumi

I vowed a long time ago to re-find all I am, have been and can be... to remember I already have everything I shall ever need inside of me. Each day I begin in the sea, feeling every inch of my being immersed in this healing space, the cold water against my skin, moving with the tide. My favourite morning ritual... a practice of intimacy with myself and nature.✨🌿

The ocean means everything to me. I spent my childhood here next to these waters in the south of England and swam in the sea in the north, south, north east and south east of australia growing up there as a child. It has always played a significant part in my life... the ocean is life. It provides us with the air we breathe... it sustains all life, without it we would not survive. Feeling thankful EVERY. FREAKIN. DAY. to call this place my home and to swim in this sea each morning✨🌊

Yoga has taught me so much, it has jolted me alive, shown me beauty, directed me towards good, kept me moving, breathing deep and has shown me how to slow down. It has guided me to pierce through, to feel, to interrupt autopilot and practice presence not matter how messy that exact moment may be. It has pushed me, soothed me and cracked me open entirely.

At the beginning of the first lockdown of 2020, my body wanted to give up. I started to experience pain all throughout my body. Simple movements hurt so much, I was in pain, my body was fatigued. Practicing yoga (something that had been my life source for so long) became difficult, it hurt to move through postures that had been life giving for so many years. What was once a beautiful practice became infuriating, it frustrated me that I could no longer practice these postures and move through spiritual teachings how I once did. It saddened my spirit and I drifted into a space where yoga did not play a part of my every day life anymore.

Perhaps I needed this time, time to move through the blockages, the difficulty, the sadness... to learn to flow in a different kind of way. To feel the aliveness in my body through more subtle symphony of movement that was unique to me and myself.

I am slowing rediscovering my practice, creating one that is wholly unique to myself, to the way I choose to move now, without pressure nor expectation. I resolve to evolve and to accept the mystery that is underneath.
