BIG NEWS AND SLOWING DOWN
Lately, life has been moving at about a hundred miles an hour, and I’m only just beginning to realise how much I need to slow it all down.
Because, truthfully, I haven’t stopped in a long while.

I’ve been back-to-back with work, photo shoots, editing, travelling, hospital visits, being unwell, recovering, catching up, making plans, and trying to keep all the little pieces of everyday life moving along in between.
And somewhere in amongst all of that, I’ve realised that I simply haven’t had the time or headspace to make the kind of videos I actually want to make for you all.

I could make something… I could throw something together, but I don’t want to do that. I absolutely love making these videos far too much to make them just for the sake of putting something out each week.
I want to sit down with a cup of tea, have an idea, let it wander around my head for a while, pick up my camera, get outside, notice things, make mistakes, laugh at myself, edit it all together and create something that feels alive.
Something thoughtful. Something beautiful. Something that makes you feel like you’ve spent a little bit of time alongside me. And with the pace of life and work recently, I unfortunately haven’t had the space for that.

I came across a little video recently that really stopped me in my tracks. It was talking about how many of us have become so attached to doing that the idea of simply being can actually feel uncomfortable.
If we aren’t working, creating, achieving, organising or being productive, then what are we doing? And, perhaps more importantly… who are we when we aren’t doing anything at all? That really got me thinking, because I am absolutely someone who fills every available space.
A spare hour? I fill it. A free day? I fill it. A quiet evening… There is always something I could be doing. And I think there is a difference between being inspired to create and feeling that you constantly have to create.

Hello beauties!

A little reminder that one day, the life you dream of might just become the life you wake up to!!!

Lately, I’ve been reminded just how grateful I am to make a living doing something I love, travelling to beautiful places, creating stories through my camera, and building a life that feels like my own. 📸🍂

I’ve been a little quieter over on YouTube recently as my photography work has kept me busy, but I’ve just shared a big behind-the-scenes update over on Patreon, taking you along on my latest adventure through the north of England and Wales!

A little update from me… 💛

Here’s to the future and to feeling so much better again!🥂

Swipe across to the right for a little glimpse into the past week or so, when I’ve been rather poorly. Let’s just say it hasn’t exactly been the most wonderful chapter!

As a result, I haven’t been well enough to get a new video filmed and edited for you all this week. But I’ll be back next Sunday with a very highly anticipated video and I’m SO excited to finally share it with you! ✨

There are lots of adventures ahead, with plenty of solo van life, exciting travels, fascinating history, fun things to discover… and, of course, plenty of tea drinking along the way!** 🚐☕️

Thank you so much for bearing with me and for sticking with me as always. It really is so lovely to be part of such an amazing community, and I’m incredibly grateful for all your support.

🚐 Plot twist: there’s no video this week! 😂

I’ve been off in the Peak District shooting a campaign for the tourism board, then headed straight from the hills to a festival… because apparently I don’t believe in sitting still. 😅

She’s messy, she’s cute, she’s tiny and the best bit … she’s all mine!!! 🚐💚

And we are finally off on our first adventure!

Tomorrow at 7pm (UK time) on YouTube, I’m taking my little stealth micro camper on our very first solo adventure... and let’s just say, it doesn’t all go to plan! 😂
There are a few wrong turns, a couple of unexpected mishaps, and plenty of moments where I wonder what I’ve got myself into. But that’s all part of the adventure, isn’t it?
Despite the chaos, I’m absolutely loving life in my little camper, and I can’t wait to share this first trip with you all. There are some laughs, some beautiful places, and the beginning of what I hope will be many adventures to come. 💛
I hope you’ll join me tomorrow at 7pm (UK time). Pop the kettle on, get cosy, and I’ll see you then! ☕🌿

Recently I have been quietly working on something very dear to my heart. Last year I birthed my very first drum into being, a deeply resonant, 18 inch Water Buffalo Medicine Drum… and the moment I played this drum for the first time I felt a deep shift within.

Since then, I have been slowly making more drums and working with some wonderful, wise women and men to develop my skills and deepen my knowledge of this age old ancestral craft. What a deeply introspective adventure this has been!!

These images were taken earlier this year when I travelled to Scotland to create my beautiful, sweet sounding, 14 inch red deer medicine drum and now in a couple of days time, I shall be travelling north to Scotland again to bring a new drum into being, alongside the beautiful @ros.simons ✨
