What an absolute feast we enjoyed on our Gourmet Safaris Turkish Brunch in Auburn with guide @ulku_g2 @cookandco_auburn .. loved meeting all our guests as they enjoyed true Turkish hospitality and endless tastes plus a visit to @gimasupermarket and @efebutchery.
Love that groups of friends get together at our events.. (thanks for the pics Steve and Gorka) the second last pic of a group of friends from primary school celebrating Karley’s 60th birthday.
This is one of our popular safaris and we have one more this year - on Saturday 21 Nov.

I had the privilege of attending the screening of Shaking Not Stirred a Documentary by @carol_ferrone

This Documentary will teach you how Ralph, Carols Brother In Law lives with Parkinsons disease, you will learn that not everyone’s symptoms are the same.

This is a great way to help raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease and a definite must watch. It will have you laughing, smiling and bring tears to your eyes.

As Ralph says Parkinson’s doesn’t control me, I control Parkinson’s.

Last night, we had the privilege of celebrating Carol Ferrone and her beautiful documentary, Shaking Not Stirred, at NSW Parliament.

Written by Carol. Produced by Carol. Directed by Carol. And featuring Carol. A deeply personal story born from her desire to better understand her brother-in-law Ralph’s journey with early-onset Parkinson’s — and beautifully transformed into something so much bigger.

A story of family, love, dignity, independence, caregiving, resilience and hope. And now, an award-winning one, receiving an Award of Merit at the Impact DOCS Awards. 🏆

What makes this documentary so special is its honesty. It makes you smile, laugh, reflect… and, inevitably, reach for the tissues.

An incredibly moving evening, made even more meaningful by raising funds for shakingnotstirred and supporting research towards better treatments — and ultimately, a cure for Parkinson’s.

A beautiful story. A beautiful purpose. And a reminder of the extraordinary things that can come from love. ❤️

Today I had the privilege of attending an R U OK? event with @socialsouphq and @ruokanyday and I walked away with a reminder that has stayed with me.

We often ask “How are you?” without really stopping to hear the answer. Life is busy, we’re busy, and sometimes we assume the people around us are okay because they look like they are.

But a genuine “Are you OK?” can open a door.

It can be the beginning of a conversation someone didn’t know they needed. It can remind someone that they’re seen, they’re heard and they don’t have to carry everything alone.

And the most important part? It doesn’t have to be R U OK? Day to ask.

Check in with your friend. Your sister. Your partner. Your mum. The person you haven’t heard from in a while. Even the person who always seems like they have it all together.

Ask the question. Listen to the answer. And check in again. 💛

Not liked a post. Not sent a quick “hope you’re well”. Actually CHECKED IN.

This morning I joined @socialsouphq for a special @ruokanyday morning, and it was the perfect reminder that sometimes, in the middle of our crazy busy lives, we forget to ask the people we love how they’re REALLY doing.

We’re all juggling work, family, relationships, kids, deadlines and life… and sometimes the person who looks like they’re coping is the one who needs you to ask twice.

The best part? You don’t need to wait for R U OK? Day.

Pick up the phone. Send the text. Make the call. Ask the question. And then actually listen.

R U OK? Any Day. 💛

Because connection matters. And sometimes a simple “Are you okay?” can mean more than you realise.
