Would you walk it, sail it, or combine a little of both? 🥾⛴️ Follow the Ullswater Way beside the water, across open fellside and past peaceful gardens made for a well earned pause. Add coffee, cake and a boat journey across the lake and the day unfolds at a wonderfully unhurried pace. Save this for your next day beside Ullswater 📌 📷Carol Kubicki @cumbrialifemag @situcumbria @ullswatersteam @luxurylakesicecream

⛴️ Next in our guide to the local areas is a favourite ⛴️ @ullswatersteam. You can’t stay in our cottages and not take to the lake. Captivating views, child and dog friendly, with stunning walking routes to fit and an all year round timetable, this is a must-do whilst you’re here. 🎟️ Set sail from Glenridding or Pooley Bridge and hop on and off in between. Ullswater is just 2 miles from Elm How & Cruck Barn. Lake District | Boat trip | Family day out | Cumbria | Ullswater Steamers | Autumn | Staycation

ULLSWATER || Where the mountains meet the water, a little piece of tranquillity 🤍 Around 9 miles long, Ullswater is the second-largest lake in the Lake District. You can explore it from the water by motorboat, sailing boat or aboard one of the famous Ullswater Steamers. ⛵️ A FEW OF OUR FAVOURITE PLACES TO EAT || 🍴 ANOTHER PLACE, THE LAKE || @anotherplacehotels A beautiful spot right on the shores of Ullswater — perfect for a gorgeous pizza, a cocktail and those incredible lake views. 🍕🍸 THE INN ON THE LAKE || @innonthelake_ Another beautiful spot for good food, stunning views and a little bit of Lake District magic. Set right on the shores of Ullswater, it’s the kind of place you could happily while away a few hours. ✨ Two visits down, and we still have so much more of Ullswater to discover. 🤍 📍 Ullswater, Cumbria Lake District | Ullswater

One of the best ways to explore Ullswater… ⛴️🏔️ The @ullswatersteam takes you across the lake with epic mountain views the whole way and the chance to hop off at some of the best spots along the shore. We took the steamer from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding, a route we’ve done before but this time a little more special because it was Harris’ first time on a boat! (He slept for most of it!) 👶🏻 📍 Ullswater, Lake District 🎟️ From £17.50pp #ullswater #ullswatersteamer #lakedistrict #visitcumbria
