🦷✨ Why do I love working at Aspen Dental?

Because Aspen became part of a dream I worked many years to achieve. ❤️

I graduated as a dentist in Brazil in 2011, and years later, I took the leap of starting over and validating my dental degree in the U.S. at the University of Minnesota.

Since joining Aspen in July 2025, I’ve had the opportunity to grow as a dentist, pursue my passion for implants, meet incredible patients, and keep learning every day.

But what makes this chapter even more special is where I get to live and work — Duluth, Minnesota. 🌲❄️ Surrounded by beautiful nature, I get to wake up every day and do what I truly love: dentistry.

Aspen represents opportunity, growth, and a new chapter in a journey that started many years ago in Brazil.

I’m incredibly grateful to be here, doing what I love, surrounded by beautiful people and beautiful places. 🦷🌲❤️

This is more than a job. It’s a dream I get to live every day. ✨

Tonight we had some of the best minds in state come together to learn and grow together. Thank you @shbarootchi & @lorenzotavelli for a great presentation!

Your oral bacteria don’t act alone…they act together!!!

New research shows we may be able to prevent plaque and periodontal disease not by killing bacteria, but by disrupting how they communicate.

This process is called quorum sensing, and it’s changing how we think about oral health, inflammation, fertility, and chronic disease.

The future of dentistry isn’t antibacterial.
It’s microbiome-intelligent.

👄🦠
Save this. Rethink oral health.

⭐ 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ⭐

Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐌𝐍 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 & 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜, located on campus in the Moos Health Sciences Tower, where she spent the entire morning with our team, our patients, and their families.

Regent Turner is an ICU nurse, a national nursing leader, and a longtime advocate for nurses, health equity, and patient-centered care. Her decision to spend time in clinic—listening to families and observing care firsthand—meant a great deal to our team and to the families we serve.

𝐋𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 & 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥, 𝐌𝐃, 𝐃𝐌𝐃, 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐒, 𝐅𝐀𝐀𝐏, the UMN Cleft & Craniofacial Team provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary care for infants through adults with cleft and craniofacial differences, serving families from across Minnesota and beyond. 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟔𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐨 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐌𝐍 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲, the clinic is one of the oldest interdisciplinary teams in the nation—a 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚, 𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝.

Following her visit, Regent Turner shared:

“𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘜 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘕 𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘤.”

Patients travel from all over the region for this amazing care. We’re grateful for leaders who bring frontline experience, curiosity, and advocacy into spaces where care truly happens. The future is bright!

There’s something special happening here every Thursday.
In the heart of Rondo, neighbors show up for neighbors — offering care, compassion, and connection.
This week, our Partner’s in Prevention Clinic was joined by:
🦷 UMN School of Dentistry – free dental screenings
💉 Clinic 555 – flu shots, HIV & STI testing
❤️ MDH BP Grant Team – blood pressure education and support
…alongside our incredible weekly partners building health and hope together.
It’s more than a clinic.
It’s community care in action. ✨
