Last week, V3 had his official first middle school game of the season, and my 11 year old 6th grader started varsity! As a dad, I was excited and nervous, but watching V3 play with composure, fearlessness, and relentless energy as the smallest on the court made me beat my chest proud beyond words. He went 2 for 2 with a clutch three and a floater, and while the crowd, noise, and atmosphere intimidate some, he said it gave him MORE energy!
The best part? Starting varsity in 6th grade was a goal written on his vision wall. You spoke it, believed it, and worked for it. #V3HoopJourney #gamechanger #pointguard #Leader #crossover

Last night, the Memphis City Council failed to pass a proposed 12-month data center moratorium, after a 6–6 vote ended in a tie. Instead of the year-long pause, council members rushed through an alternative, shorter regulatory ordinance amid heated protests from community members and local activists.

The six council members who voted against (No) the moratorium were Ford Canale, Edmund Ford Sr., Rhonda Logan, Janika White, Chase Carlisle, and Jeff Warren. Councilwoman Yolanda Cooper-Sutton was absent from the meeting due to a family emergency.

The fact remains that the people passionately raised their voices to demand a moratorium, and their representatives did the opposite.

The People are standing for clean air, clean water, a safe environment to thrive in, and a government that works for us. We need elected representatives who’ll answer to the People, not the interests of tech billionaires and big business.

It’s time to get dark money and corruption out of our Tennessee elections. In January, urge your legislator to pass the Restore Power to the People Act.

Love everywhere we go. What a blessing 🙏🏾

Spirit woke me up about 4 weeks ago nudging me to make sure I made my way to this experience. I needed to be in the spirit of celebration with multiple generations of black folks! It has really been a hug my heart needed. I cherish our culture so much. I cherish the multiplicity of our beauty so much.

I’m so grateful to be a people favored by God’s rhythm.

Thank you TSU!
