From high school sweethearts to husband and wife, what an incredible journey they had to date.

Their love story began in high school back in 2013, grew through life’s ups and downs, and blossomed into a forever worth celebrating. From two teenagers finding their way to each other to building a home, a life, and a future together, their journey is a beautiful reminder that real love is about choosing each other, showing up, and growing together through every season of life.🥹❤️

And their wedding ceremony? So much love, so much heart, and so many beautiful emotions. From honouring their parents to the heartfelt vows they shared, every moment reflected their journey, their gratitude, and the deep love they have for each other. There were tears, plenty of laughter, and the sweetest moments in between.💍

Card box at the ceremony! I don’t know why we aren’t doing this more. I see people stuck with their cards destined for the wishing well, they hold onto the, stuff them in jacket pockets etc and try and hand them off after the ceremony when the couple are congratulating the crowd.

Normally the format is to have the wishing well or card box at the entrance to the reception but if it’s possible and secure like a private property or closed private venue, there’s nothing stopping you offering a place for guests to pop their cards on arrival.

It's my 15th 'Cele-Anniversary'!!!! Here's the top 3 things I've learnt…

15 years ago I stood in front of family and friends, married two certified legends, and that was it—I was hooked. The nerves from that very first wedding are still vivid in my mind, but so is the excitement, joy, and the absolute knowing that I'd found my calling.

15 years on, I've hitched hundreds of legendary couples and here's what I've learnt:

Nothing beats authenticity. An authentic couple who stay true to themselves through all the hecticness. An authentic celebrant who delivers a ceremony that makes everyone feel included and connected—without the unnecessary wedding fluff and with a good level of banter. And an authentic crew of humans around you who love the shit out of you both.

Everyone feeds off your energy. Yes, I can help amplify the vibe you want on the day, but your people love you and simply want you to have a bloody good time. When they see you enjoying what you've created to the max, I swear they'll walk away saying, "Best wedding ever." No amount of decorations or lawn games can do that.

Ask yourself: "Is this mine to carry?" throughout your wedding planning journey. There's always going to be drama and stress when planning a wedding, but unless it's to do with the two of you in your relationship or a close family member or friend who might be unwell—do you really need to carry it and let it negatively infiltrate your experience and your day?

I feel an untold amount of gratitude every time a couple trusts me with their story—and on days like this, I feel it even more. The day I stop feeling warm and fuzzy at a wedding is the day I hang up my celebrant hat… and that day is not in sight.

Our brides Caitlin and Maxine did not want an aisle walk.

They wanted to walk into their ceremony with everyone they love. So as their Adelaide wedding planner, I built their day at Marybank Estate the other way round.

Their couple photos were done before a single guest arrived, because time with their people mattered more than time in front of a camera. Guests walked straight into a canapé and cocktail hour, and the two of them spent it mingling instead of waiting out of sight.

When it was time, everyone walked into the ceremony space together, favourite drink in hand. Afterwards came a second canapé hour, again spent with their guests, before everyone sat down for dinner.

My job was to make their version run beautifully, holding every timing, every supplier and every family photo so the whole day could be about connection. Your wedding never has to follow the traditional order.
