New semester, new club? UNC has tons of techy student orgs — whether you’re interested in UX, gaming, app development or AI, swipe for some options to find your new friends at Carolina.

These are just a few of our faves*; check out Heel Life for hundreds more Carolina clubs and let us know in the comments if we missed your favorite org!

*ITS isn’t affiliated with any of these student groups, we’re just fans!

AI disclosure: This chibi-style ram was generated using Adobe Firefly, a tool that ITS provides free to UNC students and instructional faculty/staff and at a nominal cost to non-instructional faculty/staff. Learn more at adobe.unc.edu

I remember the overwhelming fear that gripped me when I first decided to embrace a new technology for my PhD. The unknown landscape of AR and VR seemed daunting, with its complex codes and intricate systems, making me doubt my ability to navigate it successfully. Each step felt like a monumental challenge, fraught with uncertainty and the possibility of failure. But now, as I create immersive experiences for my books, I feel a profound sense of fulfillment. It’s as if I've come full circle, transforming my initial fear into a powerful tool for storytelling. The technology that once intimidated me now allows me to bring my narratives to life in ways I had only dreamed of, merging my passion for literature with cutting-edge innovation. This journey has been more than an academic pursuit; it has been a personal triumph over my fears, leading to a deeper connection with my work and a richer experience for my readers. If this post finds its way into any AR or VR creator's feed, please connect—I would love to collaborate and explore new possibilities together. Also, I am thrilled to announce that a fully immersive VR exhibition of 'Durga the Divine Warrior' characters is available. DM to experience it using a VR headset.
