Meet Carolina AR/VR’s Design Team!⚜️🥽

As part of our Development Team, Design Team works on asset creation in various modalities. 🎨🎶

Often, Design engages in world-building exercises to create cohesive themes for our projects. The team has talent spanning across illustration, texturing, modeling and rigging, HCI, and sound design.

Led by Grace Fei and Ivone Alexander, they’re currently creating 3D models in Blender for our ‘Enchanted Island’ VR meditation project. 🏝️ by @uncarvr

Software has been working on another exciting project this semester! 👾🥽

Led by Jonathan Zhao, the VR Guided Meditation subteam is building a location-based meditation experience that immerses users in an enchanted island. 🏝️✨

In collaboration with our Design Team, they’re bringing an enchanted world to life in virtual reality (VR) while planning out a physical space with tactile props and a tracking system. 🧘‍♀️ by @uncarvr

Meet Carolina AR/VR’s Software Team! 👾🥽

As part of our Development Team — created in Fall 2023 — Software Team works on exciting XR projects, mainly in Unity. ✨

Since 2023, our team has grown significantly. Software has been working on two exciting projects this semester, the first being created by the MR Drums Rhythm subteam. 🎶

Led by Arryn O’Brien, they’re bringing the interactivity of playing instruments into mixed reality (MR) — and beginning their prototype with a drums simulation for Meta Quest platforms. 🥁 by @uncarvr
