As @skateshopday weekend comes to a close I just wanted to take a second to thank everyone. Thank you to all of the bands for kicking the weekend off. Thank you @tapeswapradio for documenting it. Thank you @donttellcomedy for hanging out with us. Most importantly thank you to all of the different generations of Homebase for showing up this weekend.

It is very weird putting yourself out there but I am very grateful to have shared the walls of my first art show with one of my best friends & mentors @steadyeatingandy who believes in me even when he doesn’t need to.

The shop is what it has always been but it’s all of you who breathe life and love into those four walls. I am incredibly grateful to now be able to do things with the shop that 16 year old me didn’t even know were possible.

There will be a full Weekend recap this week but until then- thank you 🫶🏽

It starts with the HOMETEAM.
24 years ago, today, our crew of friends premiered “City Without Spots”. It was the first skate video documenting the local scene and to my surprise, the whole community came out to support. Skaters, BMXers, artists, musicians, friends and families from all over the Lehigh Valley came together inside a packed @icehouse.punkdiy to celebrate skateboarding.

We took inspiration from that night and decided to open our version of a skateshop. We wanted it to be the “HOMEBASE” of local skateboarding culture. A place the Hometeam, my friends, could call home.

We are looking forward to @skateshopday this coming weekend where will once again celebrate with not just skateboarders but EVERYONE who feels safe at HOMEBASE. -Andy Po

Back in June, I had the pleasure of hosting a Go Skate Day event for the skate community in the Lehigh Valley.
Here are some 35mm photos I took from that day!

THANK YOU again to @homebase610, @fiveanddimeeaston, @freefallqtown, & @amateurathlete for all the help making this event possible!

Can’t wait for GSD 2026!!

A year in review: December 2025

Not a whole lot to report, time slowed down in December. I think that’s how it’s supposed to be? Fun with friends, a quick road trip and 2 weeks in St Louis with family for the holidays. The year in review deep dive ended up being really good for me, I usually feel lazy and unaccomplished (especially this time of year) and digging through a couple thousand photos from the past year and reliving it chronologically made me realize that I’ve got a lot to be proud of. It also helped me to kind of piece out the year and see when I’m motivated, and when I’m not. Maybe it’ll help me plan better for this year. Maybe it doesn’t need to be so meaningful, it’s just a pleasant activity around the new year. I love all the friends I got to see in 2025. I love all the new friends I made! I love that I got to experience some of my favorite places, and go to some new places too. I love that I get to spend so much time with Alison. Can’t wait to do more in 2026.

A year in review: More August 2025

Alison gets to see her garden for the first time in a month. So exciting, flowers are near-head high, we’re eating good. Gotta unload a month of stashing in the trailer. No fun. Quick minibike prep for the Creepout, and I found a killer SB&F frame up in Mass that Al scooped for me. zero dollar choppers a go! Creepout was nuts, I think the theme this year was burn everything. Love my friends so much. Back on the bike as soon as we’re back home, got it rippin quick thanks to an ancient forum post. Wish I did some more googling back in Denver, oh well. Back down to Pat’s for another vanload of racing parts. We found a killer tank and 65 engine hidden deep in a cabinet, score! First rip on the bike, smiles for miles. Took a ride with Jared and Wes out to a pancake breakfast at an old airstrip. Perfect first ride with friends. Straight from there to a local car show, linked up with Dennis and met some neighbors with cool cars. Glad to be out of roadtrippin season and on to enjoying summer at home!
