something i’m learning is that there’ll always be things in this life that i don’t understand. even life itself comes with constant questions. but my job isn’t to answer them. i’m simply here trying my best and seeking to enjoy the good that life has to offer.

For me, healing looked like giggling alone in the shower for no reason— an unexpected sign that the anti-depressant was kicking in.

If you’re considering medication for grief or depression, this is your sign that IT’S OKAY TO TRY! It just might change everything for you like it did me. 💊🤍

He said “I don’t really rate therapy” and then it surprised him. 🩵

When TJ lost his brother in 2022, he spent six months barely functioning. It was his wife who finally said: you’re going to therapy. No discussion.

He showed up skeptical. He didn’t think it would work. But talking to someone who had no stake in protecting his feelings, someone who could just be honest, was the first time he actually felt therapy doing something real.

This is a clip from Episode 7 of There’s Grace for That. TJ talks about loss, growth, control, and what it looks like to slowly choose yourself again after the worst thing happens.

🎧 Full episode is out now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, & wherever you stream — link in bio.

💬 Have you ever been resistant to therapy and then had it surprise you? Or maybe you’re still on the fence? Feel free to share below. No judgment here!👇🏾

A former mechanic just told us how to stop getting played at the shop! 🔧

We started Episode 7 with an icebreaker, and TJ Thomas, (@bigga2388) who spent 8 years as an auto mechanic, gave some useful advice.

Short version: it’s less about knowing everything, and more about knowing enough to not be caught off guard. Check your fluids. Learn what your brake pads should look like. And never feel pressured to say yes on the spot.

But here’s the thing — TJ didn’t just bring this energy to cars. He brought it to grief, to growth, to supporting his nephews, and to rebuilding his life after losing his big brother Champ in 2022.

The same man who said “pay attention before the problem gets bigger” is the same man who spent six months barely leaving his house after his brother died, and then chose, on his birthday, to take his life back.

Episode 7 of There’s Grace for That is out NOW on all audio platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and more — link in bio 🔗). The full YouTube video drops TODAY at 3PM EST — go subscribe so you don’t miss it.

There’s something sacred about women who gather in faith no jealousy, no judgment, just genuine connection and covering. My kingdom sisters don’t compete we connect, we cover, and we conquer. 🫶💕🙏🏾 #brunch #kingdomsisters #safespace #family
