HYROX Vancouver Week 6/14

Another week of recovering. But this time it was for some touchups I got done on my tattoo. Luckily had @itakenoats during my time away for work.

Was still able to get after it at the latter end of the week which felt good. Full steam ahead starting next week 💪

Also had a sick time doing an event with @notoriousrunclub x @chipotlecanada this Saturday! Also had a great Sunday at @underdogspeedproject x @pacificfootballclub collaboration and football game.

Over 60 million minutes of movement logged, and we’re just getting started! 🌍💪

Earlier this month, I joined Team End Polio with @globalpolioeradication and challenged you to move with me. Since then, it’s been incredible to see so many people come together for a cause that goes far beyond sport 🤍

Earlier this week we took that movement offline and came together in Victoria to show our solidarity with the health workers going extraordinary distances to protect children from polio, and the families working toward a future free from this disease.

Until October 24, I’m challenging you to join us on @strava whether you run, walk, ride, swim, or move in your own way, every minute counts. The community already smashed our collective goal of 60 million minutes, and we want to keep this momentum going.

Let’s keep showing up and help make polio history. Who’s joining us? 🏁

Race Pace was the first edition of Victoria’s running game show! We kicked off the @runvictoriamarathon weekend with a 5K & game show alongside @underdogspeedproject , @frontrunnersvic , @altrarunning and @xactnutrition who all brought the vibes 🤩🎙️🧠

Thank you to all the folks who came out to run with us, participate in the game show, and watch in our audience. A special shoutout to @joshualauerphotography and @hbatuhankaya for hosting the game show, as well as @chanelle_mcphee for letting participants demo the latest & greatest from Altra. We couldn’t have done it without all the support from everyone who was there, and we can’t wait to bring you another edition of Race Pace very soon!!

5K recap from this past Saturday. @1600_asa had a goal: sub 19:30. Alongside the pacing team of @simonlauer82 and @tyson_runs42.2 , that goal was met with a new PB of 19:29.

With a supportive crowd, members of @underdogspeedproject cheering the guys on, and matching race shirts from @lululemon , it made for a perfect first race of a fantastic weekend for the dawgs 🏃⏱️🙌 well done Steve, Tyson, and Simon!

The Dawgs killed it on RVM Sunday this year… lots of PBs, even more smiles, and a ton of fun across the 8K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon. Super proud of everyone, and while I couldn’t fit everyone in this post (or missed them entirely as they sped past me before I could notice) I was cheering everyone on the whole way through 🔥🏃🫡 @underdogspeedproject @runvictoriamarathon

Chip time 3:51:29
Garmin marathon time 3:49:34

With better pacing (not thinking I was going to run 3:59:00) it would have been sub 3:50:00 chip time

Toughest training block yet and very happy to see the result, really needed the W
But this is just the beginning, excited to see what is coming for 2027!
