i’m hosting a talk at @sohohouse on ‘who shapes visual culture now?’ a conversation on subcultures, desirability and who really has influence across fashion, beauty and design.

i’ve invited the incomparable tiffanie alice, founder of the cult accessories label @parallelxstudio to join me for this conversation.

we’re also recording it as a live episode of the @undertoneindex podcast !!

what’s in my bag? eurotrash - a dry, cruel novel that examines inheritance, guilt, taste and moral decay. funny, bleak with deadpan delivery/lip gloss, eyelashes, lip liners, tweezers inside a lemon yellow @rhode bag (not excessive for a girl who works in beauty)/
wired earphones - airpods have too many steps to get them to work/camcorder - i’m back on youtube (!)/@balenciaga muscara - a worn in musk, intimate and animalic fragrance/
@charlottetilbury airbrush flawless powder 03 (i have 4 in constant rotation)/@drunkelephant hand cream/boring chanel cardholder that i never use/

i want to touch it.

beauty was never meant to live entirely online. for years, brands became very good at creating desire through screens, but beauty still depends on the body.

in my latest essay on undertone, i write about sephora, bodycare, the return of physical beauty retail, and why the best stores will not simply make women want more. they will help them understand what they are wanting.

i started the linen service because i wanted a room that felt aligned with thoughtful, ambitious and serious women. this week’s session was a reminder of why i’m building it.
women speaking honestly about work, money, visibility, relationships. i don’t take these rooms lightly. who’s invited. how it’s structured. what we prioritise. the tone is intentional.

thank you to everyone who came and contributed. thank you @narsissist for supporting the session and gifting the women in the room.

if you’d like to be part of what i’m building, you can sign up at thelinenservice.com.

can you catch the @groundsilk samples in the dump? :)
