September Recap🍁:

As we welcomed all of our students back to campus, our student-athletes were extremely active in the community!

All of our athletic teams participated in Union annual John Calvin Toll Day, where we connected with Schenectady and the greater Capital Region to support ongoing projects and activities in the community! Highlighted here are our Women’s Basketball and Rowing Teams who contributed to improving the cleanliness and appearance of our city.

The Baseball team continued their support within the Electric City volunteering at the annual Tim Higgins Memorial Softball game, which featured the Schenectady Police Department vs. the Schenectady Fire Department, as well as supporting the Schenectady Little League at bi-weekly baseball clinics.

The Men’s Soccer team spent the day with the Schenectady Community around campus!

Last but certainly not least, the Field hockey team continued to host their Friday Night local clinics for the community!

We are very proud of all the work our student-athletes engaged in last month and can’t wait to see what next month has in store. ⚡️ 🔋🙌 #GoU

🚨 COMMITMENT ALERT 🚨

Congratulations to Bear Otten, a 2027 RHP/OF, on his commitment to continue his academic and baseball career at Union College!

Bear is one of those players whose best baseball is still ahead of him. With a projectable frame, athleticism, arm talent, and the ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball, his upside is tremendous.

Union College is getting a talented athlete with a high ceiling and a ton of potential still waiting to be unlocked.

Congratulations to Bear, his family, coaches, and everyone who has helped him along the way. We’re excited to watch what comes next!

⚡️ The Best Play Here.

JUCO JAM. THAT’S A WRAP. 🔥⚾️

Two days. Nonstop action. Big-time talent. 💥

From first pitch to the final out, the Yard was LOUD. JUCO programs showed up ready to compete, and the Northeast came ready to put on a show.

The grind doesn’t stop. Fall ball rolls on. 👀

Congratulations @wladykabaseball 2027 SS @aiden_costello4 on his commitment to Union College @unioncollegebase to continue his academic and baseball career. Aiden is a winner, leader, competitor, tough, and a great athlete who loves to play the game. He is a coach on the field and plays the game the right way. He is a sure handed SS with quick actions, great feet, strong arm and is a playmaker. He has plus range and is consistent. He is a leadoff type hitter with a gap2gap approach. Line drive contact who can also play small ball. He is a tough out. Aiden is a base stealer and always a threat, plus speed throughout his game. He is a great teammate. #wadsquad since 15U #PVHS @perfectgameusa @prepbaseballnj

🚨Commitment Alert 🚨 #25 in the 2027 class has @johnsok25 heading off to Union College. Sokale has been a reliable force behind the dish for us for the past couple of years. Defensively he has the ability to handle an elite pitching staff, shut down the run game, and lead the team on the field. At the dish he added a ton of value with an advanced hit tool and great feel for barrel. He has worked tirelessly to put himself in this position and he has earned this opportunity. Congrats John, you earned it!
