Union Baseball teamed up with Schenectady FD and PD last night at the annual Tim Higgins Memorial Softball Game. We have partnered with both departments on this event for the last few years now, it’s for a fantastic cause and a wonderful event for the community. Players also came together and ran the 9/11 Stair Challenge at Bailey Field. The stair challenge is a commemorative fitness tribute where our guys ran 110 flights of stairs to honor the 110 stories of the World Trade Center and the first responders who sacrificed their lives saving others. Thank you to all first responders for all of the sacrifices you make daily to keep us safe and take care of our community! #neverforget by @unioncollegebase

Congrats to Dylan Swarts, Alex Casey and the 2026 New Britain Bees on winning their first Futures League Championship! As previously mentioned our guys Dylan Swarts and Alex Casey had themselves a great summer, capping it off with a championship this afternoon!
Alex Casey started Gm 1 of the championship series throwing 3 scoreless innings and Dylan Swarts stayed hot throughout the championship series going 6-11 over the three game stretch. The two Garnet Chargers finished off the summer in New Britain in a big way. Casey finishes up his summer with a 2.45 era over 23 IP and 19ks. Swarts completes the summer with a .345 batting average (playoffs included). Going 16-28 since Aug 1, batting .571 over that span! Congrats @dylan_swarts30 and @alexcasey24 now let’s get back to work on bringing a championship to Schenectady! 🤙🏻🙌🏻 by @unioncollegebase

Closing out our incoming freshman class for this fall is LHP, Harry Kahn out of Croton-Harmon High School in NY. Harry had an excellent two way career at CHHS but will be coming to us solely focusing on pitching. He took a gap year this past year to recover and develop from an injury but is back at it and has been lights out! He’ll bring an impressive 3 pitch mix with a plus FB to campus. Welcome to Union Harry! 🤙🏻🙌🏻 by @unioncollegebase

Up next for our incoming class is C/INF Toby Rosenband from The Gilman School in Baltimore, MD. Toby is coming off a successful senior year. As a very versatile player he’s played pretty much all over the field and will come to Union as a true utility player but Catching will be the focus. This spring he received the Alumni Cup from his HS which he describes as the best honor he could receive as being a part of the Gilman program. Welcome to Union Toby! 🙌🏻🤙🏻 by @unioncollegebase
